"At various times in the geological past, many species has become extinct as a result of natural, rather than human, processes. Thus, there is no justification for society to make extraordinary efforts, especially at a great cost in money and jobs, to save endangered species."

The speaker assert that at various times in the geological past, many species have become extinct, not because the human being but because the result of natural, It is not necessary to protect them as using a great many of money. I disagree with the speaker, in my opinion some extinct species have not relationship with human being, however, some of them are killed by us, and we have to project them in order to keep a balance in the natural environment.

It is true that some of species have become extinct, not because the factor of human being. For instance, the mammoths that live in the Cretaceous period, at that time human was so weak that they cannot threaten the lives of mammoths, many groups of mammoths live in the mainland and enjoy themselves. But the earth become colder inch by inch, the mammoths have not compatible environment which provide their basic lives, many of mammoths were dead and others move to other continent. The mammoth become extinct until the last one. This fact indicate that some extinct species due to the result of natural, not because our human being.

There have an opinion that according to Darwinism the extinct of species is a necessary matter what we cannot intervene it, all of them stem from the choice of nature. I can not accept this point, the Darwinism is undoubtedly, However this theory build on a area which so-called 'natural selection', it only refer to the power of nature, not the advance science and industry. In today's society many factories were constructed, many of autos were making, and lots of forests were cut, the woods will be transport to manufactory. Both pollution and destroy affect the environment that belong to some species, the fact of human being usurp on their homeland and many of them become extinct in this calamity. One famous professor in American claims that 'there have one hundred species animals and plants were extinct during one day'. This speak point out that we are too avarice to obtain the resource of out earth, that will cause the revenge of the nature. For example, the ground sea of Indonesia killed a great number of people; it is spring from the temperature which is warmer by warmer. Thus, the project of species and their environment are projecting our human being.

Moreover, the people not only project the environment in order to save the species and ourselves, but also keep a balance in which there are nature and benefit. Even assuming that saving species is a significant aim of human being, we cannot ignore the benefit which stem for the taxpayers. Because the first important event is the development of our nation, lack this premise people cannot provide anything to the program which take charge in project the species and environment. It is clear that people already realize the phenomenon, in order to solve the problems we human invent many good ideas. For instance, the government of American construct a park which so-called ‘Yellowstone’ for saving the wolves. The wolves of Yellowstone were ever close to extinct, because they hurt the sheep which belong to the farmers, so the wolves suffer from death that there have several wolves in the area of Yellowstone. In order to save the wolves government construct a part which not only can project the environment of them but also bring to a great many of benefit from the tourists who come from over a span of the world. The fact indicates that people make a balance between nature and benefit; it can provide development of lasting.

In sum, considering these factors mention above, I agree that saving the species is important for we human, however, the better way is that keeping a balance in benefit and nature to gain the continuable development.

But the earth become colder inch by inch（bit by bit may be better）, the mammoths have not (好象不能这样表达把can hardly live in such a crucial )compatible environment which provide their basic lives(need), many of mammoths were dead and others move to other continent.
