【题目】The following appeared in an editorial in the Mason City newspaper.
"At present, Mason City residents seldom use the nearby Mason River for any kind of recreational activity, even though surveys of the region's residents consistently rank water sports (swimming, fishing, and boating) as a favorite form of recreation. Since there have been complaints about the quality of the water in the river, residents must be avoiding the river because they think that it is not clean enough. But that situation is about to change: the agency responsible for rivers in our region has announced plans to clean up Mason River. Therefore, recreational use of the river is likely to increase, so the Mason City council will need to increase its budget for improvements to the publicly owned lands along the Mason River."

对于题目中出现的表示逻辑关系的词（EG：逻辑转折，逻辑递进，逻辑并列……），比如：since，because，but，therefore……都必须重视，因为抓住了这些词，其实就将这个topic所说问题的骨架抓住了。

然后利用“庖奶解狗”（https://bbs.gter.net/forum.php?mo ... p;page=1#pid1686230）式的方法，在脑子里迅速开始逻辑层次的梳理，然后抛弃外在的ETS题目表述的形式，而得出自己的逻辑层次。

我个人认为这个工作对于想得高分的同学是特别关键的，因为这个工作是后面行文的基础。高层次的ARGUMENT文章其组织是很有讲究的，最好按照逻辑错误的深浅层次进行有重点的攻击。

比如，如果在有STEM级别的error，同时也有branch级别的mistake，那攻击的顺序自然是先STEM级，后BRANCH级别（这里的branch不在同一个stem上，EG:如果STEM1和 STEM2 上的BRANCH A （此时，STEM2 这个根级的错误是不存在的，存在的仅仅是它的下层第一个很minor的具体错误）同时存在，一般是攻击STEM1然后才是BRANCH A）

P.S.
这个观点目前仅仅是我想出来的，还没有得到广泛的讨论，因此这种写法的可靠性还有待今后的试验。这个写法，鄙人认为适合对A已经小有心得的战友们，入门级的战友最好还是按部就班的，按照mistake在文中出现的前后顺序进行逻辑攻击，特此说明

【题目拆析】
论点： Therefore, recreational use of the river is likely to increase, so the Mason City council will need to increase its budget for improvements to the publicly owned lands along the Mason River." 因此，河流的娱乐用途很可能将会增加，因而Mason市的市委有必要增加用于改善Mason河沿岸公共土地的预算。

论据：
1。"At present, Mason City residents seldom use the nearby Mason River for any kind of recreational activity, even though surveys of the region's residents consistently rank water sports (swimming, fishing, and boating) as a favorite form of recreation. Since there have been complaints about the quality of the water in the river, residents must be avoiding the river because they think that it is not clean enough.

【攻击分析】
论据1:
STEM 级别错误（STEM 1）:将一个并非绝对因果的两件事情（“人很少运动”和“河水不干净”）解释为因果，因而擅自排除了其他的可能性.但还有其他的POSSIBILITY,比如，天气因素（冬天，游泳的人少）；河本身的大小（如果此河床太浅，也不能游）

在此stem级别的错误下面还有branch级别的错误（分别称之为：S1B1/S1B2/……）
S1B1:调查的可靠性，此类问题
S1B2:过去的投诉到底对市民产生多少心里影响，还有其他的possibilities么？

P.S.我自己感觉这个逻辑分的也不是很好，在此仅仅提出这么一个idea

论据2:
STEM 2 : 前提（政府发公告）根本就推不出来结论（市民对此事的情况会被改变）。因为，只有当事情完全被解决时（比如，调研、策划、施工、竣工、etc）市民的态度才可能改变，这一点无法确定。

结论
A. “likely to increase”是不可能的。简单的政府公告不会在短期内解决民众的感觉
