According to the title of the statement, the speaker assertsthat computer connections and television make people become familiar with alarge amount of places they have never been, because of this, people willinclined not to choose tourism, and tourism will soon be out of time. I admitthat the wide use of television and computer connection give people morechances to see different places they have never been, but this will not resultin the obsolete of tourism.

First of all, living in the modern world, more an morepeople use television and  internet tosee different places where they have not been or will never been. From thecoming out of the first television and first television station, the TVprograms broadcasted become more and more colorful. For instance, people canwatch beautiful sceneries of Africa which is a mysterious continent that fewpeople have ever been because of dangerous environment, wars, short of moneyand so on. Now watching TV can make people become familiar with Africanscenery, culture, food. Besides television, internet is a more convenient toolfor people to realize different places in the world. Because on the internet,people can choose which kind of information they want to see, a large amount ofinformation about scenery of different places in the world can satisfied people'sneed of seeing places they have ever been.

Second, I hold that using television and computer connectionwill not result in tourism become out of date. On the contrary, TV and internetwill help tourism become flourish. The reason is that television and internetmake people realize places they have ever been as discussed above, then thisrealization will arouse people’s interest to have a visit to that place. Forexample, if a person did not get any information about Australia  from TV or internet, he will not have anyinterest to visit that place. However, after getting some information aboutAustralia like the famous theater in Sydney, some interesting animals living inAustralia and so on, he will have great interest in this country and may planto travel to there. In short, what I had discussed in this paragraph come to aconclusion that when a person get some information of a place, they may havesome interest in that place then may have plan to travel to there. In thisprocess, TV and internet play a important role which help people to get lots ofinformation of different areas in the world.

Finally, Because of many other reasons, the tourism in theworld will not obsolete but flourished. First, with the development of society,people need not to work day and night to gain enough food. Then they have moreleisure time to travel. Second, with the development of economy, more peoplebecome rich, so they have more money to pay the fees in traveling. Third,compared to ancient people, modern people can use different kinds of vehiclesto travel. For example, modern people can driving cars by themselves to travelto some places, or they can take trains and planes to more places where theycan not drive to. However, ancient people can only walk or ride horse to go tosome limited places. In addition, some data told us that the tourism indeedbecome more popular than ever. In 2006, the whole number of  tourists in the world was 842 million, andthe tourism traveled to Asia increased by 6.7%, to Sub-Sahara increased by 8%.

To sum up, from what had been discussed above, we can cometo the conclusion that because the wide use of TV and internet will not resultin obsolete of tourism but will help to make tourism more popular.
