论点: 研究历史，对个人，对人类，都意义重大。

1、研究历史可以规避将来可能出现的错误。
2、读史使人明智。使人理智看待问题，不会过于偏激。因为历史的不确定性，历史的一切皆有可能，所以在历史领域中想要求证事情，反而更加需要理智，不可妄自猜测
3、另外, 历史是可以被appreciated的。像音乐，体育等。F1，耗油但是人们为之疯狂。总之就是，历史对一些人来说也是一种乐趣。

The study of history benefits both individuals and all the human beings. Through rationally studying history, people become wise and could prevent some existing and coming problems. Thus, as long as we are studying history, it is benefiting our daily life because we are avoiding mistakes as we develop.

As for all the human beings, we have more confidence in solving the problems, both the existing and coming ones. Through the study of history, military commanders are able to avoid the similar mistakes on battlefield. By examining the terrible experience of Tsing Dynasty, our leaders realized that the military force is indispensable to establish a democratic government, of which all the people make their decisions for themselves. In conclusion, the study of history enables people to avoid both the problems which people suffering from and the ones coming in the future.

Studying history makes people wise. Clearly, no one would know what exactly happened in the past. The past are uncertain, and all we can do is to deduce based on some evidences. According to this uncertainty, in history, we are never too careful to verify the evidences we have before we acclaim it to be a discovery. Fortunately, the hesitations we have in confirming discoveries in history are valued, because they bring us the rational full-angle observations. In other words, people become rational and objective when judging things, especially some new (often sound weird, too) things. Therefore, by studying history, individuals, such as historians and people interested in history, are more cautious in deducing.

In addition, as I concerned, for individuals, I think the study of history is similar to the seek of art and athleticism. For example, Formula 1 is well known for its seek of speed and has millions of fans all over the world. However, standing in the position of environmentalist, the F1 is just polluting the environment and wasting the energy on this planet which is becoming fewer and fewer. What does this race bring us? The answer would be no more than an excitement at the spiritual level. People appreciate the speed that the cars reached and expect higher one. The same in history, people who interested in looking into the past of human beings enjoy the process of their researches. Moreover, like the artists and athletes, the historians and archaeologist also take the honor to write their own history. For individuals, it’s where their interests lie in.

In sum, the study of history has value as long as we want to avoid the possible mistakes and therefore better out future. And for individuals, it makes people wise and rational, before they make their decisions.
