2.2 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The best way to travel is being in a group led by a tourist guide.

People have different preferences towards travel. Some people prefer travel in a group led by a tourist guide, while some others are keen on traveling without a guide. For my part, I totally side with the latter one and I think the best way to travel is being in a group without a guide.

Firstly tourist guide may more or less exert some kinds of constraint upon the travel. And as a person who always pursues the feeling of freedom, I would not choose a travel led by a tourist guide. I do believe that people who have ever attended the travel group with tourist guide gain this kind of feeling, that is they can only visit the places introduced by the guide. What's more, sometimes the routines of the travel are very unreasonable, tourists have to visit many places in a short time. The result is that tourists get tired and visit all the places hastily. That's the first reason why I prefer travelling without a guide.

Secondly the second reason why I prefer travelling without a guide is that travel is really something which contributes to foster one's ability, such as setting the destination and the proper routine, collecting information about the places where I'm going to travel to, booking hotels and tickets for transportation and dealing with various kinds of emergency during the travelling. These are the real fun in a journey other than an already arranged and fixed journey. And travel indeed means more than visiting places of interest.

Last but not the least, we can not ignore the emergencies, sometimes even danger, showing up in a journey. And travelling alone is definitely not something wise we should do. If permitted, we may find some friends with the same purpose about the journey and form a group. We won’t feel bored and lonely if there is someone to talk with while travelling. What’s more, when unfortunately emergency appears during the journey, mutual helping would be the best way for us to solve the problems. For example, if someone falls ill, the others could take care of him or her and call for a doctor; and when it is not convenient to bring the packages with us sometimes, our group mates could help look after our stuffs.

To sum up, in order to travel free, cultivate the general ability and get help when in emergency, the best way to travel for me is being in a group without a tourist guide.
