Position:Competition ,like any other thing ,has two sides--benefit and detriment to the society. But I fundamentally agree with the proposition that competition does more good than harm to society. The opposite view seems to ignore the huge benefits to our society brought about by the primary force--competition,alomost in every aspest of our lives. However,we must caution that the competition without proper regulation can lead to society disaster.
Adam Smith (the wealth of the nations) 国富论
Competition is like a invisible hand which directs and drives the society forward, whether it is for good or harm. But we can not desert something which might do some harm .It could do more good than harm to the society, if it is in a regulated track. What we should do is to make full use of it rather than to abandon it ,and simultaneously to find solutions to prevent or solve the problems caused by the inappropriate competition.
