3。28 决战南大  急寻拍友,共同进步
第一次限时成功, 但很混乱
望大家指点

Only those who live after them, not by their contemporaries, can decide the greatness of individuals.

Does greatness of individuals always decide by people live after them or their contemporaries? As my point of view, whether they can be recognized as the great by people in their time or people after them differs from case to case.

Some of great figures in the past, especially in the realm of arts and philosophy, often were wrongly treated by their contemporaries and finally considered as great after decays even centuries. In arts, as history illustrates, many talents artists received unfairly attention in their lives. Van Gough, one of most creative painter in the nineteenth century, was always considered as unsuccessful and unacceptable by his contemporaries. And his works including the famous "heliotrope" was treated as useless and without price.  Turn to the history of music, the great composer Beethoven was ignored and considered as hackneyed in his time though he made great contribution to the prosperity of classic music. This is also very often cases in situation of great thinkers , such as Socrates in Greece and Confucius in ancient China.

However, in other cases, may great figures in various aspects of society were immediately recognized and given admiration and reputation soon after their important contribution to the society were made. In the academic world, many scientists receive numerous compliments and recognition when their publication enter into society. Newtown gain  his reputation soon after his law of universe come into being. Moreover, his receive noble rank also because of his contribution to the human understanding since his contemporaries realized that. Einstein, as the second significant giant in nature science, also received Noble Prize just after he published the theory of relativity. Admittedly, these people could quickly gain reputation and attention is due to their contribution ,which also quickly influence public life and understanding and change the society in certain ways.

Further, no matter great  giants judged by contemporaries or future generations, their greatness have one thing in common, that is the true merits inside their works transcend times and withhold thousands times of question and risks and eventually prove to be beneficial to human society. Many works of great scientists of past, have become the foundation of contemporary academic research and progress, for instance, Copernicus's theory that the universe is in fact have no center at all. This theory has already become astronomers' substratum for pursuing more profound knowledge of outer space. Similarly, although Picasso's painting have considered to be great even he was alive, the true value that make them still in admiration today is the deep and enduring influence to younger artists and also other aspects of society, such as physics have benefit from Picasso's perspectives to nature. In this sense, we could see that the real and perpetual values in the contribution of great figures are the fundamental basis that they could be recognized no matter how long time it would take.

To sum up, in different fields and cases, the greatness of past were often treated different in various  times. Nevertheless, the truth and values in their works would ensure them being respected and admired though taking various time.

I will take the test on Mar 25 in the city of Nanjing.
你的开头写的不错,应该是上过新东方,修锐讲过这样开头的
文章正文部分分为三段,挺合适的,大负小正:)

本文中引用典故很好,Socrates in Greece and Confucius in ancient China.
Very good!能写出具体的名字,哈哈,honestly, I could not spell these words correctly.
Socrates and Confucius

正文第二段的TS 有点让人摸不着头脑,可能是鄙人水平有限。may great figures in various aspects of society were immediately recognized and given admiration and reputation soon after their important contribution to the society were made. may的用法在此怎么讲?可以这样用吗?

In the academic world, many scientists receive numerous compliments and recognition when their publication enter into society.我觉得in the academic field may be better.
no pains, no gains

issue 186 恳请批评

T186                 44”  398
In our society, more and more people agree that practicality is now our great idol which all powers and talents must serve. However, I believe that this view is not completely considered and there are many disadvantages if all of people live with this opinion.

The author recommends that anything that is not obviously practical has little value in today's world. Sometimes it is true that we should think about the practicality of everything first. For example, we should ensure that our investigation on some project will produce profits before we decide to provide our money. In this case, the practicality is the first thing which we should think about because it will be not popular if it is not practical. In our daily life, we like everything practical and we do not want to waste our time to do something which is illusion or not available for us.

Although it is true that sometimes the practicality is our first goal, it is also necessary to do something which may be not practical in a short time. Many science researches are beneficial from a long run, such as, the researching of some fatal diseases but now it may not make profits and be practical. If we cease the development of unavailable research just because there is no practicality in this plan, we will suffer disaster from what we did not accomplish. For instance, AIDS is not healed with current materials and it seems that everything we have done does no good for the patients now. Should we give up to research and develop the heal method? Of course not.

In addition, I completely disagree that anything that is not obviously practical has little value in today's world. Not everything is practical in the real world and we need the science fiction and some super-real thoughts which could inspire us to develop our potential capability and do something for the rain day. It is possible that some projects which are based on the illusion do not bring us real advantages, but it could evoke us to create something better so that these abnormal views could be practical in the future.

In sum, although the practicality is the eternal aim, we should also do something which is not practical at present. We could live comfortable life only if we do everything we could do whether it is practical or not.

我那地方是错拉,写完就那word查了一边拼写,没怎么看,等会再 该他一边
交我作文的是成红升,比较令人失望,
你的我认真看了一边:

In our society, more and more people agree that practicality is now our great idol which all powers and talents must serve. However, I believe that this view is not completely considered and there are many disadvantages if all of people live with (用的很好)this opinion.

The author recommends that anything that is not obviously practical has little value in today's world. Sometimes it is true that we should think about the practicality of everything first. For example, we should ensure that our investigation on some project will produce profits before we decide to provide ( invest) our money. In this case, the practicality is the first thing which we should think about because it will be not popular if it is not practical. In our daily life, we like everything practical and we do not want to waste our time to do something which is illusion or not available for us.

Although it is true that sometimes the practicality is our first goal, it is also necessary to do something which may be not practical in a short time(从最近看?in near future). Many science (scientific)researches are beneficial from a long run(in long term 我比较喜欢用这个), such as, the researching of some fatal diseases but now it may not make profits and be practical.(是不是窜句拉,要是对应many researches 则要用they) If we cease the development of unavailable research just because there is no practicality in this plan, we will suffer disaster from what we did not accomplish.(是objective unavailable ,我觉得两分句主语不要一样,这样更好) For instance, AIDS is not healed with current materials(remedy更准确) and it seems that everything we have done does no good for the patients now(是不足治愈, no good 太武断了). Should we give up to research and develop the heal method? Of course not.(个人建议再总结一下)

In addition, I completely disagree that anything that is not obviously practical has little value in today's world. Not everything is practical in the real world and we need the science fiction and some super-real thoughts which could inspire us to develop our potential capability and do something for the rain(real) day. It is possible that some projects which are based on the illusion do not bring us real advantages, but it could evoke us to create something better so that these abnormal views could be practical (换点词,realized.)in the future.

In sum, although the practicality is the eternal aim, we should also do something which is not practical at present. We could live comfortable life only if we do everything we could do whether it is practical or not.

总的来说, 老套路,写的比较中规中举,词汇方面要再variety, 4分我觉得不过分。
