Issue17:
There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws.

According to the statement is question, it actually consists of two claims: 1) the laws can be classified into two groups, the just and the unjust ones; 2) individual in a society should only obey the just laws but resist and defy unjust ones for due to its flaws and counterproductive to the society. As far as I am concerned, while I agree that some laws or regulations may not full match the development and evolution of the modern society, no individual takes that as pretext for his or her disobedience to the legal system.

As Aristotle, the ancient Greece philosopher, once said, law is order, and good law is good order. Most laws and legal system, either in Western world or Eastern countries, are quite similar in their essential purpose, i.e. to maintain the social, economic and political stability. Fundamentally, a law has to appear to public, effective and legitimate, in that sense, it needs to be contain instruments to gain its application, and should be issued under formal procedures from a recognized authority. A particular society or community adopts a specific set of law to regulate the behavior of its own members, to order life in its political territory, to grant or acknowledge the right and privileges of its citizens and to resolve disputes. Laws are the reflection of morality in a particular society or community, which attributive to an individual to survive and reproduce in a species with complex social interactions. Hence, under any circumstances, a member in a society should respect and comply with its set laws and regulations.

Since law has an anthropological dimension, it is often culturally and politically colored. The several different levels of government each produce their own laws, whose extent may centrally vary. For instance, Islamic law is a particular instructive example of sacred law, different from all other forms of law, even to its two historical and geographical neighboring sacred law representatives, Jewish law and Roman Catholic canon law. For that matter, an individual may confront cultural shock and societal insecurity after migrating to an exotic and distinctive living condition, alienating from his or her accustomed origin place. People, especial the bystanders without, tend to define these unfamiliar laws from personal perspectives relative to their ideological values and views of the world. Therefore, the puzzling judgment on just and unjust of a legal system is bound to be hindered by personal subject preference, then often lack of objective standards.

Having recognized that laws are always issued and implemented in a given context, closely indicating conservative and traditional awareness, it may reveal aging problems to the societal advancing and avant-garde believes. Taking Scopes Trial in 1920’s for example, John Scopes was accused of having violated a local law, named the Bulter Act, forbidding the teaching of theory of evolution in public schools as it contradicted the account of creation in the Bible. Regardless of its verdict, this trial received worldwide attention and led to a national debate on the reform of textbooks. Although the local act banning the education of Darwin Theory is mostly against the current scientific believes, unjust from present point of view, the updating and reform in that act still requires scientific and democratic argument for justification of legal amendment. The Bulter Act remained on local book until 1967.

To sum up, due to the aforementioned analysis, the question how an individual could judge the justice of law is still open to question. Actually, as a member of a particular society or community, it is the primary responsibility and duty for every citizen to obey its established legal system. In addition, the reform and amendment to an outdated law is necessary and frequent, but should be conducted in a cautious and rightful manner.

As Aristotle, the an ancient Greece philosopher, once said, law is order, and good law is good order 好像 law 是可数名词. Most laws and legal system, either in Western world or Eastern countries, are quite similar in their essential purpose, i.e. to maintain the social, economic and political stability. Fundamentally, a law has to appear to public, effective and legitimate, in that sense, it needs to be contain instruments to gain its application,语法问题?意思我不太理解 and should be issued under formal procedures from a recognized authority.
你在TS 中讲 law is order and good law is good order, 那么你的论证是不是说 law, especilly good law should be obeyed because they bring good order, then waht about bad law?

Since law has an anthropological dimension, it is often culturally and politically colored. The several different levels of government each produce their own laws, whose extent may centrally vary. For instance, Islamic law is a particular instructive example of sacred law, different from all other forms of law, even to its two historical and geographical neighboring sacred law representatives, Jewish law and Roman Catholic canon law.

According to the statement is question, it actually consists of two claims: 1) the laws can be classified into two groups, the just and the unjust ones; 2) individual in a society should only obey the just laws but resist and defy unjust ones for(重复了啊) due to its flaws and counterproductive to the society. As Aristotle, the ancient Greece philosopher, once said, law is order, and good law is good order. Most laws and legal system(s), either in Western world or Eastern countries, are quite similar in their essential purpose, i.e. to maintain the social, economic and political stability. Hence, under any circumstances, a member in a society should respect and comply with its set laws and regulations.(你的观点跟我差不多,但你观点表达都很清楚,得像你学习啊!)

Since law has an anthropological dimension, it is often culturally and politically colored. The several different levels of government each produce their own laws, whose extent may centrally vary. For instance, Islamic law is a particular instructive example of sacred law, different from all other forms of law, even to its two historical and geographical neighboring sacred law representatives, Jewish law and Roman Catholic canon law(表达不好了,句子长了不清晰).
