题：A company is going to give some money either to support the arts or to protect the
environment. Which do you think the company should choose? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.



With the development of mordern society, more and more companies began to contribute money to some coureses, such as support the arts or to protect the environment, so that they can enlarge their influence. However, sometimes they may confused by which one to choose. With all aspects fully considered, if I were the CEO of a company, I would define that giving money to protect the environment a better choise.

First and formost, every citizen has an obligation to protect our environment, to say nothing of a company which is inevitably in some ways benefit from the natural resouces. Environment is the fundamental factor of everything on the earth, certainly including the art culture. Therefore, no good environment, no development of art.

Admittedly, giving money to protect the environment can leave people a good impression as well as increase the reputation of the company which may actually benefit it a lot. Perhaps most individuals have no way to contribute to our environment directly. But when people choose things amone the same kind of products, they are probably prefer to support the one belongs to this company. Furthermore, people, especially the one with highly education, like professor and university student, will speak highly of its behavior. Thus, it may attract more capable person there. What’s more, the government officer would also very appreciate it so that to some extent offering it a better circumstance to develop itself. All these would lead the company have a rise in its products sold.

I do not deny that money to support the arts has its own merits. However, from a long views, protect the environment with more valueble merits like improving the condition not only of the society but also itself, can be more reasonalbly treated as a wiser choice for a company.
