It seemed like a good idea, because rivers(and ponds) in Bangladesh were contaminated with bacteria Bangladeshis wishes to wealth(switched to wells). But soon after, in the early 80’s, researchers realized those were harming Bangladeshis was a new poison—arsenic.

The underground settlement gangages doubt at(sediment of the Ganges Delta) contains arsenic. In 2002, MIT researchers determined that micro digestic(microbe digesting) organic carbon were freeing abstract(that trapped) arsenic. But, where did the carbon come from, and who was the arsenic get(getting) into the water supply? The MIT team now has(thinks they have) the answers which they report in the journal nature geo science(Geoscience).

Using a 6 square miles tests plot, they found (that) the organic carbon comes from the shallow pounds ducted(that were dug to) provide soil from(for) flood protection. The carbon compounds sink in the pond water and seeing(seep) bander grounds(underground) were(where) bacteria digest them, setting a(up the) perfect chemical condition to free up the soil arsenic. Ground affluence water(Groundwater flow) then brings the arsenic(rich) water to the wells.

Future wells dug deep enough, to the low arsenic part of the algrupher(aquifer n. 含水土层) could help. Rise(Rice) fields feuter(filter) arsenic (from the)water, so wells under those fields could also be part of an answer to problem affecting millions of Bangladeshis.

November 24th marks the 150 adversory(150th anniversary) of the publication Darwin’s argenal(Original of) species on November 19th , XXX confirt(a guy named Ray Comfort,) who does not accept evolution, will celebrate the fact that when the copyrights were aspered(expire) and works on(enter the public) domain you to do them you will(you’re free to do with them what you will. 太连了这段) Thus Comfort will be distributing this own edition of Darwin’s masterwork, with a new introduction. This is roughly the equivalent of me fingerpainting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel so as to improve the work.

According to the folks at the National Center for Science Education, the NCSE, who monitor efforts to interfere with evolution education in public schools, Comfort in his intro repeats numerous familiar anti-evolution claims. For example, that there’s a lack of transitional fossils and that the second law of thermodynamics makes evolution impossible. These assertions have been disproved more often than the chant” Yankees suck”.

The NCSE has set up a Web site with useful, truthful info. It’s at www. Contdissdarwin.com. All one word, no apostrophe. Indeed, don’t’ diss Darwin. It leads me to discomfort.

Researchers say the roots alert plants to relationship with nearby plants because when impatiens were planted with near sibling but in separate pots, they didn’t recognize they can (their kin). Just goes to show that even in a plant world, family comes first.
