8.25 老師應該要多花點時間幫助學生建立自信 than 傳授課業
My answer:
I don’t think it is a good idea that teacher should take more time on building students’ self-confidences than on teaching. Students face lots of competitions nowadays in my country, China, due to we are chasing our better future actually. So I think parents have taught their children before go to schools. There’s no need teachers take time to help students on this stuff.

Teachers’ first mission is teaching. Teachers’ work at school is only teaching. That’s also why students go to school. Otherwise all of students can stay at home and study by themselves without teachers. Teachers can tell us what we would ignore, what we cannot solve by ourselves, more important, what endowment we cannot find. In another hand, if we are not going to school, teachers would be failed.

Teachers’ abilities would not be enough for building students’ self-confidences. I can hardly image that a P.E teacher can tell students how to adjust mood on sports, especially someone fears running all along. Maybe a psychology doctor can do this, but the treatment would take students much time to do. There’s a teacher would make it whose appellation is class adviser. His/her work is going to adjust all things of a class. But I don’t think he/she can take care on this kind of things after all works he/she should do.

Parents should be call to account if their children have psychology problems. For instance, there is a single mother fosters her only child when her husband died before the child born. And the mother doesn’t marry again. So the child is still growing in a family without fatherhood. When he steps into school, face to huge pressure from far and near, he cannot endure because no one can teach him how to be fortitude except his father. We cannot deny what damage the depletion of family take to child.

There is an old saying that teachers are diligent gardeners of students, let them concentrate on teaching, so students can make better future one day.
