请有经验的帮忙看一下,这位教授和美国生物专业排名在80到100之间的学校里的教授相比,谁的水平更高啊?


某军区联勤部军事医学研究所副所长兼药品仪器检验所所长、研究员，南京大学兼职教授。兼任全军药物分析专业委员会主任委员、军区药学专业委员会副主任委员、江苏省药学会常务理事、江苏省药理学会理事等职务。发表论文近40篇，其中在SCI期刊发表8篇，被国际SCI刊物引用39次。申请国际专利6项，国内专利3项。

请大家不要提及此教授的名讳,这样不尊重.....

主持开发了四个国家级新药；研制了紫外-可见多组分同时测定软件包和中药粉末显微鉴定系统；在国际上首次提出并建立毛细管微乳液电动色谱法表征生物大分子的结构；建立了大量白蛋白保护剂存在时，基因工程药物中微量活性成份的检测方法，运用多种仪器分析方法系统研究了促红细胞生成素的质量，并将其与体内外活性相关联，其方法和结果对基因工程药物质量标准研究具有普遍性意义。赴日本日立制作所中央研究所生物系统研究部从事单核苷酸多态性（SNP）方法学及仪器装置的研究，时间近三年，取得了系列成果，其中“新型快速SNP测定法”获得2000年国际会议Advanced Genomics优秀论文二等奖，“SNP测定芯片装置”获得日立技术三等奖。目前，他主要从事疾病及病原微生物的分子诊断及遗传分析等研究工作,已取得了国际同行认可的成果，被应邀在国际人类基因组大会上作了“等位基因频率测定新技术”的大会报告。目前正在承担的课题有：国家“863”重大专项1项，国家自然科学基金课题1项，教育部留学回国人员启动基金课题1项，江苏省高新技术课题1项。

Firstly, I am not that familiar with pharm field.
However if you want to compare with the facultys from the top 80 to 100 U's Biology or Biomedical Sciences department, I might give some idea, which could not be very accurate.
Your given information talked about 8 SCI papers and 39 citations, I would probablly say not even close. You know, 8 SCI without talking about the impact factors, which only got 39 citations - probablly including some number of self citation, this kind of background is even not quite enough for application of Green Card for the EB2 - NIW, and is surly far away from application for the EB1A or EB1B, which is designed for great researchers or a faculty.

You may say, that's just about the green card application. But, this kind of EB2-NIW background is not even very strong within those post-doc fellows at US. Even a number of Chinese EB1A appicants have not got faculty position yet. Of course, Noble prize or CNS papers could mean less paper and high academy contribution, but that could certainly with way more than 39 citations......

So, I mean, this professor could been doing very well, but probablly he would not get a faculty position at US, considering all the national universities. There are a huge amount of post-docs or researchers are still searching for a faculty position with close or stronger backgrounds.
