ask for help, two questions about application

1.I have completed the on-line application, however, many schools does not clarify if it is still necessary for me to mail the paper based application form and so on? As I consider, a transcript is OK?
2. Some schools ask for the certification of finanice during the application process, what should I do? the form is complex to fill out, usually has to list all the possible sources of finance, is it possible for me to just indicate that I want a TA or RA or fellowship? I have no spirit to go to banks!!
