Written records can discribe thought and spirit, which is not the video camera do. Diary as a record for every day is very popular in the whole world. In diary you could write your arrangement for tomorrow. You also can record your feeling during the signal day. For example, one day you felt very sad, but your good friend invited you to her birthday party. You should present happily at the birthday party. You may cheer, photo, smile and celebrate with your friends. All these happy time was recored by video camera, but it is your real feeling? Of course not. Only could the written records record your real feeling. In your diary you would write that I am very sad for something.
Written records play a important role in the science developing. Although the video camera is a good staff because of science developing, written records can not be replaced in science developing. Many scientists express their productions by writing them on the paper instead of the video camera records. Many scientists are not good at express their thought by saying. If they published their productions by the viedo camera, but they could not express their thought clearly. Their productions may not be undersood by readers. Even if the scientists can express their clearly, their new productions might very complex. The new productions can not explain by saying.
It is true that written records have disadvantages, especially in some aspects which need record quickly and accurately. Take traffic camera as a example. Every traffic camera can photo the license plate immediately when the car againsted the traffic law. The traffic camera can record the numbers clearly and timely. The picture also show the time, which is good evidence. All of these may become very trouble or impossible if the video camera was not invited. If we used written records, much more people and money would be waste. Even if we can do these, written records may write wrong number. The speed of roadster becomes more and more quickly. People eyes can not record license plate number during little time. When you know the roadster coming, it disappear in your sight, all these thing may happen only in one second. People can not do well, but the traffic can do perfect.
Without written records, people may feel very disconvenient, so as  the camera video is. Both the camera video and written record are very important, they play a important role in a people daily life. The camera video has advantage in practicality aspects while written records present perfectly in abstract aspects.
