197 The material progress and well-being of one country are necessarily connected to the materail progress and well-being of all other countries.

With the development of modern technology, some people regard the world as a “global country”, and all of the countries are individuals in this country, in which each member has these or those kinds of relationship with others. Thus the material progress and well-being of one country are necessarily connected to the material progress and well-being of all other countries.

Firstly, the current trend of modern industry is specialization, and many kinds of products can not be produced fully by one company or country. For example, Boeing company is a typical American corporation, but their staple-Boeing737-are made up of thousands of parts, which were produced by many partners distributed throughout the world, such as Japan, Europe…… Further statistics established that the larger and more modern  the company is, the more deeply they rely on the cooperation with other companies. Actually, since all countries have their own advantage and disadvantage, such kind of cooperation can make them efficiently overcome their shortcomings and fully utilize the resource of all over the world. It is highly possible that the labor force in some countries is abundant, or the raw material is cheaper, while their companies do not have the ability to use these factors. Fully considering such conditions may help these countries to make their economic profit.

Secondly, although human beings have achieved great success on this planet, they also produced serials of problems. Today, more and more people began to notice and worry about these conditions. Unfortunately, these problems are far from being resolved, because the effort of a few countries is not enough to confront these global questions and they need the participation of all countries. For example, the green global effect is an environmental problem which was caused by over exhausting CO2 . To reduce its amount in atmosphere, many countries concerted in Japan and have enacted a standard. But will this action completely solve this problem? Many experts are not very optimistic, because there are many countries not attending this meeting thus they are not controlled by this standard. Unless all countries aware the importance of these measures, human beings will still be annoyed by this problems.

Thirdly, the progress of science also unites all countries as a whole. As one of the pith of human beings, science prospered all though the world. A brief is planted into every scientist’s mind: there is no country bound in science field. For example, the modern physics sprouted in Europe, while the relative theory was proposed in America; the gunpowder was discovered in China, while the gun was invented in Europe. In fact, nearly all scientific theories were based on the accomplishment of the precursors, who may be in these or those countries, however the knowledge belongs to human beings.

In sum, in many aspects of our society, there is more or less connection among countries. So it is difficult for them to close their doors and cut down the channels with others. A kind of closely cooperative relationship among them is more expected.
