     C怎么会对呢？原文的意思，我觉得是："尽管地上有雪（盖住了矮的植株），可还是有部分植物比较高，没盖住，可以吃。"也就是说，雪仍然是个负面因素，但其严重性不足以令鹿断绝食物。C已经与这个方向反了，为什么还是正确答案？另外，出现在定位句之外的正确选项貌似也不少吧，不能因此就排除B，它明明是根据本段做出的正确推论。

这句很关键
你的理解有误差，句子主要是说，就算天气不好，deer也有东西吃。Even在这时甚至的意思，强调甚至下雪的时候，那些高的植物会暴露出来。同样雪和风使那些有叶子的分枝降低。就是说Deer可以吃到。
所以B是错的，并没有说食物不足。只是从侧面反映了deer可以去别的地方吃东西，一样可以生存。
不知道这样讲明白了没？

还有IBT重要的空白原则，文章这时候没说“盖住了矮的植株”所以不要自己联想，看句子强调什么，并没有强调雪的负面影响，整个句子都在讲食物，说deer可以更容易的吃到US。其实整段都没说deer吃不饱，只是换了地方换了食物。
而且整个段落也没说雪给Deer带来困扰，是我们的常识以为下雪了一定就没食物吃，但是文章并没有讲，我们就不能做这样的思考。

the harsher seasons；one compensation ...  is ... to migrate； move到lowland过冬。由这些，我觉得已经足够推论出，冬天食物难找。若不是因为highland的食物unavailable，鹿怎么会需要migrate呢。这么看来，B不还是必然推论吗。
再说C，即使句子并没强调雪的负面影响，但anyway它不是正面的，不下雪的时候，所有的US都expose，所以那叫fair-weather season。我可以理解这句没强调雪是负面的，但是anyway，它也没有让任何事easier吧。

还是想不通，童鞋能不能再讲细点？

这句话就是在说下雪使得DEER可以更容易的找到US，就是有easier的意思。high US这个时候可能就变矮了，deer能吃到。
u know其实b选项从字面上看没错。但是这道是refer to题型，可能是希望我们找到他整个段落强调的东西或者是更深的推断。
so其实哪个到底是正确的选项，只有ETS知道，但是他们也会出现这种偶尔纠缠不清的选项，所以才会出现reading错了题还是满分的现象。做了TPO这么多套题，应该能发现，并不是每一个选项都有根有据的。
但是文勇的解释有点牵强。

感觉这句话说的迁徙的方向并不一定是从高地向低地，只是从植株高的地方迁到低地而已，查了一下webster，其中对于browse名词项的第一个解释是tender shoots, twigs, and leaves of trees and shrubs used by animals for food
我一开始也选B,后来看这句话时觉得不对。
不知道这样理解正确与否（只看了这段，没联系上下文）

文中What keeps the black-tailed deer alive in the harsher seasons of plant decay and dormancy? 这句话提出了植物腐烂和不生长的季节。下一句中提到migrate，Deer may move from high-elevation browse areas in summer down to the lowland areas in late fall.，也就意味着winter is the season of plant decay and dormancy,可以理解为food unavailable. 同时也解释了为什么要migrate.

C选项的表达说冬天让食物寻找更容易，但是原文Even with snow on the ground, the high bushy understory is exposed; 是一个让步关系， “就算有雪”。。。。。所以雪的存在不是一个便利条件，而是一个阻碍。Deer在冬天只能找到High bushy understory。雪盖住的就吃不到了。
而且后文中提到雪和风带来arboreal fodder，这玩意是乔木，不是灌木，不是understory plants。所以也不能支持C选项的说法。





而且不能因为文勇选了C就认为C绝对正确。 文勇的其他题目也有答案出错的情况。

high-elevation 就是海拔高啊。讲的是areas，不是树木的高度。
