165.The following appeared in a business magazine.
"As a result of numerous consumer complaints of dizziness and nausea, Promofoods requested that eight million cans of tuna be returned for testing last year. Promofoods concluded that the cans did not, after all, contain chemicals that posed a health risk. This conclusion is based on the fact that the chemists from Promofoods tested samples of the recalled cans and found that, of the eight chemicals most commonly blamed for causing symptoms of dizziness and nausea, five were not found in any of the tested cans. The chemists did find that the three remaining suspected chemicals are naturally found in all other kinds of canned foods."

Promofoods claims that their cans of tuna did not contain chemicals which can pose a health risk,like dizziness and nausea.To gain this conclusion the company returned eight million cans of tuna for testing last year,they also cite some experimental results to demonstrate that the quality of their products are secured. However, careful examination of this supporting evidence, reveals that it is lends little credible support to the company's claim.
First of all, although eight million cans of tuna have been returned for testing,it cannot contain all the products.Maybe,due to some objective alternatives,only little parts of cans which can cause a health risk,so its hard to detece to a large extent.Otherwise, if it is true that there were some chemicals in this kind of cans of tuna,it appears reasonable,therefore,these chemicals will exist in more cans in the future,which will apparentlly jeopardize consumers' health.
Secondly,the company tested only eight chemicals which are most commonly blamed for causing symptoms of dizziness and nausea,if the experiment was exact and consummate,then five were not found in any of the tested cans. Do we conclude that this product have no relationship with the dizziness and nausea?It is possible that there are some substances which are not recognized by a majority of people can also cause symptoms of dizziness and nausea.Since Promofoods failed to attest most of these substances did not exist in their products,they cannot make any sound conclusions to testify their products cannot cause health risk.
Thirdly,
due to the chemists found that the three remaining suspected chemicals are naturally found in all other kinds of canned foods,then Promofoods resisted that their cans were safe.As we all know sometimes even we find some chemicals which can cause health problems really exist in some kind of foods,they cannot arouse our health problems actually result in its low contents.Therefore,Since the company did not give me the content of these three kinds of chemicals,I cannot make sure that these three kinds of chemicals will not cause dizziness ,nausea and so no ,maybe their content level were higher than the other products,which can really arouse some health problems in this level of content.
In sum, it is possible that Promofoods's cans of tuna are really safe to a large extent ,while they failed to persuade me to believe their claim .So ,to strengthen their conclusion they must test more uncommon substances which can also cause people to dizzy,vomit and so no.Moreover,they must state clearly about the content of these substances.
