我在4.16收到USC的这封EMAIL，18号返信接受的，可是直到现在什么消息都没有收到，打电话到USC的admission office去问，说还没有收到dept的final decision， 我又打倒系里问，他们居然也说还没做决定，我说我已经收到信说我被录取了，为什么还没决定，他们查了半天说什么信只是问问你想不想被考虑MS，至于录不录取还要下个周一决定，我简直要疯掉了，我已经把其他的AD都推掉了，现在USC却说这样的话，天哪。。。。
我又看了一下那封EMAIL，明显是说我被录取了嘛，难道我的英语水平有问题，会错了意，请各位XDJM看看到底是什么意思的说
急呀，千万帮帮忙，我都快急死了，555。

看起来是说不能让你读phd，但是要你决定是否接受the Masters of Science program的admission ，并没有还要考虑你的意思在里头，这所学校有点不负责任，发这样的信现在还说这样的话，你把这封信copy给学校看看，找他们理论理论？

我也觉得学校信上的意思是说录取了，还是当面带着信到学校问清楚好，如果你离得不远的话。很可能是秘书对于录取的事情知道的不多，或者你没有问到管事的人。

按照信的意思他们是准备给你AD的( "is offering you admission" ), 先看看你是否接受, 但是正式决定还要一段时间.  
Songlove, 你可今天再打电话问问:

What is the exact meaning of  " We hope you will accept this offer of admission into the Masters of Science program for Fall 2003" in your email sent to me" ?   Does it mean you will give me admission to the Master of Science program for Fall 2003" ?

你别着急, USC 肯定是会要你的, 但是他们办事就是很拖拉的.

别着急！Candy说的对  USC是比较拖拉的，你最终会被录取的！
我当初申请时也是这样，等了3个多月还没CASH掉我的申请费，其他学校的录取通知都来了。我还以为USC还没收到我的申请材料呢！打电话去问才告我要面试我。
Songlove，你人在日本只能多打几次电话给他们。
坦率说，他们的态度比我申请的其他几所都好，不用怕的！

说点题外话,USC是不是曾经有个新加坡女孩很出名啊, who made love with 251 men in ten hours in US and made the new world record. I forgot her name but I saw the whole process from Internet. It seems unbelievable but true. I heard she spoke Chinese (Mandarin) with her monther which shocked me because I thought she was a Chinese girl. Fortunatly, my friend told me finally that she is a Singapore.

恩，终于打完了，那个接电话的米mm说话声音暴小，我紧贴电话还有点听不清，不过好像意思是说MS的最后结果还没有出来，不过既然收到了信就应该没问题，不过结果没下来之前她也不能打包票，我一听就紧张了，赶紧一个劲问那是不是还会有什么问题，那个mm最后实在撑不住了，就不再说什么官腔了，就说everything is ok，呵呵，我看我把她逼疯掉了，我就又问了一句are you sure it is no problem，她说no,no, 我听到这又紧张了，怎么是no，那就还是有问题了，她又接着说no problem，呵呵，刚才仔细一想，好像英语中回答否定问句的时候，正面回答是用no的，差点又闹笑话了，我说that is all，那个mm明显松了口气，呵呵，一定被我搞败了。
谢谢大家的关心，现在看来好像问题不大了。
