1.13 Many parts of the world are losing important natural resources, such as forests, animals, or clean water. Choose one resource that is disappearing and explain why it needs to be saved. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.!

As everybody can see, our civilization is undergoing a roaring development which has never happened before. However, with the rapid advancement of the society, the quality of household and the industry, humanbeings are consuming, sometimes squandering, the limited and valuable natural resources, such as forests, animals, or clean water. Among these disappearing natural resources, I would like to talk a little bit more about forest.

Firstly, because of the wide use, woods from forest are terribly consumed everyday. For example, heat energy is very important in both our daily life and the industrial use. In order to produce heat, we need to burn fuels, of which woods play a unreplaceable role. And for sure forest is the main source of woods. As can be seen, nowadays huge amount of trees are hacked down everyday for burning and heat production. Not only for burning, other aspects also indicate horrible deforestation, such as architecture, furniture and so on.

Moreover with the burning of the woods, a lot of exhaust gas is emitted in to the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is undoubtably the main content of it, which results in the global warming. Consequently many chain effect occur such as melting of the glacial and the up rising of the sea level and the vanishing of the countries below the sea level. Additionally, over-deforestation also launches the home lose of species. Forest is cut down, which is equal to damaging the living environment of millions of animals. Because of this many species may be extinct. Last but not least, hacking forest would ruin the vegetation anyway, which also leads to desertification and lose of water and earth.

In conclusion, besides consuming our valuable forest resource, we should also pay attention to the protection of it. The damage of the forest is not a single result but would ignite series of serious problem. Therefore sustainable development becomes a treasurable sense of the modern people to protect our forest resource.
