1.15 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Attending a live performance (for example, a play, concert, or sporting event) is more enjoyable than watching the same event on television. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

     Currently, there is a phenomenon that a increasing number of people are willing to attend a live performance rather than stay at home and watch it on TV. On the other hand, some people still prefer the latter to enjoy the performance. As far as I am concerned, taking part in a live performance is a better choice. Here are the reasons for it.
     First of all, in the performance, it is much easier to get aquaintance with the people who have the same interest and hobby with you.
Take myself as an example, the May Day’s concert (a famous band from Taiwan) in my hometown was held on a Friday evening in May last year. I was so hurried after school that I just went to the concert in my uniform. Surprisingly, I met another girl also wearing our school’s uniform who I didn’t know before. During the talk before the concert started, I knew her name---May and
we became friends because our favourite band is the same one. We screamed together, sang together and discussed all the time during the concert. Compared to watching TV alone at home since none of my friends likes MayDay,
it makes the concert more enjoyable to me.
     Secondly, the atmosphere in the concert hall is nothing else can match. The enthusiastic people with great passion, the scream from fanatical fans will surely infect everybody who gets there. In the last few minutes of MayDay’s concert, all of us were not willing to go, though the members of the band have walked down the stage. Everyone shoted ”encore,encore” and waved the fluorescent light, hoping they could come back for the very last song. Finally, our hope came true. At the moment they jumped to the stage, we screamed. I burst into tears with extreme happiness by seeing this. For me, this precious experience I got in the live concert can not be felt from the TV programme.
     The third reason is that in the live performance, the singer always have some activities with fans. If you are lucky enough, you can get a close touch with the singer. Though I have never had such fortunate, I saw my idols with my own eyes at least. I was quite enjoyed in the concert and felt satisfied with it because it has been one of my dreams for a long time.
     I do not deny that watching the same program of the performance at home has its own advantages, such convenient. But such little unconvenience can not affect the fans’ passion on attending the live concert as they are eager to do so. Even though it is unconvenient, the people who really like it are willing to attend the live performance. From all the reasons above, we may safely draw the conclusion that atteding a live performance is more enjoyable than watching it on TV.

Have you ever won a game due to your rich experience after the close competition and knew the importance of exercise? Have you ever felt sad about your team’s loss in a tournament and understood the significance of team spirit? Have you ever experienced the happiness of winning the championship by trying again and again and never give up? If not, you will never understand why playing games can teach us about life. From my point of view, playing games can bring us a lot of knowledge about life.
The first reason is obvious. The precious experience can be got during the process of exercise. When I was at age of ten, I played the classical game—Super Mary for first time and I didn’t play very well in the beginning. I was always attacked by the turtles, the flying birds and lost the game. However, after I exercised for some time, I finally got through it. It is from the game that I first understood the importance of continous exercise.
Secondly, the spirit of cooperation can be learned from the game. As a member of a team, you will understand how important it is to play as a team and what’s more, work as a team. For the first time I played the game Mafia, I was a police. We police must analyse the mental thoughts of the rest persons and found out who was the criminal. So we must work closely and communicate with each other. Such game can definitely teach us something about cooperation.
Last but not the least, in the game we can learn the significance of keeping on trying. It is the spirit of never give up that is vital to our future life. Undoubtly, we will face the failure some day. I can’t imagine that I totally lost confidence and can’t recover from it after failed once. So you can see why we should keep the spirit of never give up all the time, which spirit can be learned from a good game.
I do not deny that playing some kinds of games may do harm to the players. Yet, it is up to the players themselves to choose what game they are going to play and what attitudes they hold towards the course of playing. In conclusion, it is my belief that playing games can teach us about life.

我觉得例子还是很具体，但是有些我有点不同意哦。比如说第一个说最开始玩得不好，后来经过exercise之后还是过关了，我觉得并不能说明坚持什么的，并且最重要的最后一句话我又没有明白什么意思，什么是继续练习（continuous exercise）？毕竟是游戏，我觉得只要一遍一遍玩，想玩得更好，也可以说是上瘾呢

没有很大的问题，不错。但是有一点，感觉读完文章后没有太感觉出LZ对玩游戏或者参加比赛后有很深的领悟，可能是LZ没有把领悟写得足够详细，使得读者读之后感觉很在理，但是却感觉不到作者的领悟，建议把领悟稍微再展开写写。纯属个人愚见。
