issue 69
is about a long-standing debate on whether or not government should lay down restriction on reseach.
the favorable  examples used in articles posted on this site are nuclear war and biochemical weapons todemonstrate that though the very  essence of scientific endevour is the freedom of inquiry and invention, government should restrict certain research that will pose potential threat to the society.

As a biological major, here I present a brand new issue topic that would be useful to discuss the debate: stem cell.

The stem cell controversy is the ethical debate centered only on research involving the creation, usage and destruction of human embryos.

Since stem cells have the ability to differentiate into any type of cell, they offer something in the development of medical treatments for a wide range of conditions.

The status of the human embryo and human embryonic stem cell research is a controversial issue as, with the present state of technology, the creation of a human embryonic stem cell line requires the destruction of a human embryo. The fundamental assertion of those who oppose embryonic stem cell research is the belief that human life is inviolable, combined with the fact that human life begins when a sperm cell fertilizes an egg cell to form a single cell.

please check out the following  web resources about this issue and summarize the main points on your own.

……请问这个例子要怎么服务论点啊?
3.in 2009, obama signed a law to enable government fund to support embryonic stem cell research in US which was forbidden by Bush administration before.
是用来支持“政府应限制研究”么?为撒奥巴马同意了?(不管布什有没有同意)
