In some high schools and universities, the students have group works , where each of the group members is given a same grade（credit）. Do you think it is appropriate to evaluate students in such a way?
Group work offers students opportunities to cooperation with others. In another words, group work is a group of people work on a same project. Eveyone contribute to the task, but it does not mean that the contribution is the same. Evalutating students by giving members in a group the same grade is not appropriate
The supporter of the idea to value students in group may tends to achieve the word “fair”. However, this kind of fair is limited. Though people work in the same group,there are always some people contribute a lot while some peole do not take part in the project. Such kind of judgement pecisely bring a atmosphere of unfair because the main contributers do not get what they deserve, on the contrary, the dulls gain the honor or score by doing nothing. The final result will be the outburst of contradiction. Take GE for an example.it used to prize their staff without considering their contribution. Whatever you do, everyone will get the same bonus. The system allow everyone to be dilatory which will defer the develop of the whole company. While the company went on the downhill, jack welch stand out and enact some new policy. First thing first, he reform the prize system. The staff will get the bonus match their work. This policy bring the company new energy. Everyone begin to feel that their work will be pay off. So it is not a surprise that GE had successfully raise its market from 26.8billion to 130 billion, which is a legend being imitated since then.the development of GE shows the appropriation of evalutaing individual but not a whole group.
Some people may states that group work is worked by a group. Everyone ‘s work can not be evaluated seperatedly, and it is hard to judge who do more than others because everyones work is part of the group work. Though different judgement is not absolute fair, it will be undoubtedly more appropriate than the same scores system. A judeger should not judege everyone in whole merely because it is impossible to separate the work and evalute everyone’s contribution.

All in all, group work is just a different study form. Each members still play their own duty. In this way, they should not be judge as the same. Moreover, If everyone try their best to work on the project, the project will be well finished and everyone will get a satisifyong score.
