最近在写艺术类的提纲，感觉好难写。还请各位狠拍！！！万分感谢！！！
The meaning of art has been explored in a branch of philosophy known as aesthetics for a long history. Art involves in human activities, creations and modes of expressions, including forms of art: painting, music literature, etc. In essence, revealing the otherwise hidden ideas and impulses of a society is only one of the functions of art, artworks served many different purposes and present a multitude of emotions or ideas.

Admittedly, artists existing as a social individual cannot avoid being influenced by their contemporary values and practices in the society, which will be manifested in their works. Consider those masterpieces, whereby those artworks still do not fade out of the history from one generation to another? In my observation, these artistic works transmit and reveal ideas and impulses of a society to ordinary people. For instance, in novel Tom Uncle's Cabin the author reveal the cruel essence of the slavery by depicting uncle Tom's suffering and her stands for the abolition of the slavery had received a huge dispute before the American civil war. To give another example, many famous painters use their brush and pencil to present the scene of miserable life of ordinary people, which may imply a disaster or tremendous changes in society.

As the artist is more sensitive to social changes than ordinary people, they use visual images to criticize some aspect of society and hope to bring about a political change. However, art has many incarnations which can reveal different purposes rather than have the function of communicating ideas politically.

Firstly, architecture as one of the art forms serves many other unique purposes. There is no deny that many buildings interpreted as a mark of a city or country attract visitor’s attention, like the famous
Eiffel Towel in French. And in religious sense, architectures like cathedral, temple, mosque present us respect for the idolaters and see a veneration of the god. In addition, the scale and ornament of a building on a personal level serves as symbolism of the social or economic status of its owners.

Secondly, art as a method of communication, the emotion or mood expressed in a work is quiet flexible. Works like a novel, film or a drama can actually provider pleasure and sheer entertainment for the viewers regardless of their themes. Then perhaps, the experience of the host in the novel would encourage readers to fight no matter what troubles in future; the moving and graceful music in the drama bring a sense of beauty for the audience. In a word, these artworks provider insight into beauty and made for generating strong emotions among readers, which is not linked to the hidden ideas of society.

In sum, art has had a host of different functions throughout its history, making it difficult to quantify its purposes to any single concept. Hidden ideas and impulses is only one kind of sources for the artist to create; in some cases, what a artist want to express is, perhaps just his inner emotion and passions; in other cases, the works of art serves as a symbol of eternal beauty, wealthy, even a status object.

呵呵，谢谢你的修改啊。。。。我一直觉得自己说话就挺罗嗦的，所以写出来的东西也不简洁。。。很想听听你对这个topic是怎么理解的。。

我重点是写艺术会揭示社会的内在，并且即使有时候这种揭示是需要很大的勇气，艺术家们也在所不辞，然后讲了一下当今社会由于想法多样，艺术家们更多地是表达个人情感，体现人性的光辉。
艺术类的题目太抽象了，我也想了很久但还是有些困惑。
我把我的这篇练习也发上来了，不过因为是限时，问题还是挺多的。
