弱问，有么有哪个帖子是汇总N个大学数学专业情况的？其实，国人多以排名来估计，以为越靠后的越容易申请。其实不对。很多靠前排名的反而比靠后的简单。就是我们不知其中细节罢了

it's a relatively small program so they accept a small amount of applicants... plus the reputation and the location, which make it even harder to get in...

Columbia is on my current school list, but I am not sure yet...

and the application process is really subtle... it seems that every school claims that they want students with strong academic accomplishments/ potential and in the mean time, they want you to be a fit.... so it's really hard to tell what kind of students they are looking for...and it may vary from year to year...

Interestingly though, it's almost true that one can get an offer from all those top-notch schools or none of them... this is just something i notice... consider it as a personal opinion... It's not a FACT....

:L 版主干嘛回复英语呢。。。毕竟是中文论坛，且我丝毫不感觉英语比中文“优美”，不过目前而言运用范围广罢了，并且，这个趋势随着时间的推移将被逐步削弱。

不过也没办法，很多人是国内喜欢开英语，到了国外反而怀念起中文来了。

wo shen le ge da de tong ji xi, jie guo tian zai xian shen qing biao de shi hou hai gei tian cuo le, mei xuan PHD, xuan de MD. Feng le. Wo jiu mo ren ta yi jing gei wo ju le, lian kan dou bu kan le.
