How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society.

Due to the rapid development of science and cultrue, so many new and complex issues have emeraged in our modern society. When it comes to the relationship between the socialization of children and the destiny of our society, different people hold different views. Adimittedly, how children are socialized today determines, to some extent, the destiny of out society. However, the socialization of the children is not the exclusive factor that contributes to the establishment of a better society, and as a matter of fact, we have spare no effort to cultivate our children to help bring about a better society.

First, it is undeniable that well socialization will lead to better development of the society. Only when a child has well obtained the fundamental rules of communication with others, can he or she grow up into a responsible, decent and excellent citizen and even a effective and respectable leader of our society.It is a different but crucial task to teach the children how to cooperate, negotiate, and assert themselves. To witess the harm of unhealthy socialization, just consider an apt example of Jiajue Ma, a college student in China, who commited a crime of murder because of severe psychological isolation. Too shy to communicate with others, at first, he always stayed alone. And with this problem not solved at the germinal phase, he gradually developed into a self-contemptuous, indignant and envious person and ultimately killed his roommates under the control of violent emotion.

Nevertheless, there are other factors that a individual can affect the destiny of our society and in fact they are potentially more important. As we know, if a child want to be able to handle whatever may show up in the life including all the unknows of the future, he or she needs not only to know how to affiliate with others but also to develop high moral or ethnical values—honesty, justice, loyalty to friends and family, personal responsibility, love of a country, and personal freedom. People remember Mandela Gandhi for his contribution to the fight for human rights and racial equality, which results from his inner belief. The reason why Beethoven still wrote outstanding and famous symphony changing the music trend after he was deaf is he has a tough-mind to fight against the fate. In addition, a peson’s professional knowledge play a vital role in changing the world,such as Thomas Edison’s invention of light bulb drove darkness out of world, Longping Yuan’s hybridization of rice solved the problem of starvation in China. Every aspect should be took into consideration and we should balance all these factors that lead to a better society.

The author’s second claim that we don not know how to raise our children to bring about a better society is gratuitous if a “better” society is an enlighted, democratic, tolerant and developed one. In fact, the half century has seen an increasing attention to the peace of world, the environmental problems, the help to undeveloped countries. And people begin to show understanding to homosexuals, mentally and physically changed individuals, women’s requirement for equal job opportunities and blacks’ fight for human rights. Besides, there are a host of examples illustrating the international cooperation in science and politics. It is the collaborative work of the scientists all over the world that decodes human genome, thereby causing the revolution of medicine, agriculture and other fields. And the third parties with belief to advance peace make a great contribution to settle the conficts between countries.Also, without the countries’ cooperation, the global economy cannot recover from the financial cisis which engulfed the once-sturdy names from Lehman Brothers to AIG, Merrill Lynch and Washington Mutual in 2008. In short, the facts have proven that the cultivation of our children help to creat to a better society.

To sum up, even though that how children are socializatioj determines the future of our society to some extent, yet it is not the only factor. Other factors such as the morality and the knowledge of our children also have influence on the society. And, the history has proven that we have spent so much energy on the children that our society advanced significantly.
