Opportunity for Research Assistantship in Analog and Mixed Signal Circuit Design
• Research Area
Analog and mixed signal circuits with emphasis on data converters (ADC and DAC) design, modeling and test. Data converters are key components that connect our real world to the digital world that is now rapidly progressing with new concepts, standards, and protocols. So far, although a lot of research efforts have been focused on this area, in order to meet the new needs for emerging applications such as next generation tele-communication, sensors, mobile display drivers, bio-medical, and MEMs, development of improved architecture and circuits for ADCs and DACs are highly demanding.
• Research Topics
Research topics will be related to new architecture, build block, test scheme, and model development for low power, low noise, high speed, high precision, and small size data converters.
• Requirements
Strong background in analog and mixed signal circuits, electronic devices, and signal processing with good hands on skill for integrated circuit design, simulation, layout, and characterization.
• Contact Information
Send a brief letter of interest with information including course work, projects, experience, and skills related to the research area to:
Dr. Kye-Shin Lee
Assistant Professor
Dept. of Electrical & Computer Eng., University of Akron
E-mail: klee3@uakron.edu
* This position is open for both Ph.D. and MS students, and will start on Summer 2010 or Fall 2010 |
