TOPIC: ARGUMENT44 - The following is a recommendation from the business manager of Monarch Books.
"Monarch Books should open a café in its store to attract more customers and better compete with Regal Books, which recently opened a café. Monarch, which has been in business at the same location for more than twenty years, has a large customer following because it is known for its wide selection of books on all subjects. Opening the café would clearly attract more customers. The café would require relatively little space. Space could be made for the café by discontinuing the children's book section, which will likely become less popular given that the last national census indicated a significant decline in the percent of the population who are under age ten."

From the passage,we acquainted that author suggested to open a cafe in book store comparing with his competitor. But under deeply concerning, we can find some logical flaw in it.
At first, as the author consumed, due to keep up with our competitor we should open a cafe same as it did. But author is absent from supporting the evidence that show us to follow this step is one way or better way to gain what we want-leaping the others. Instead of using this step, as we know, therein are many other options that may works more efficient than that author proposed. How could anyone gave a such hasty deduction without other ways taken into account.
Following what we argued before, it is obvious to read between the lines that the wrong decision bases on the other misunderstanding of what is featured for the store to stand out from others.
First comes the wide selection of books, mentioned by author. So does this mean we need to follow another direction to attract our customers rather than keep our tradition which have been always working well, and no reason shows that it can not be a match for that.
In order to open it, we have to sacrifice the room of children's book, in other words, it will ruin our long virtue of wide selection. Ridiculous, isn't it? To change an operating well manner with an unfamiliar one, is it worthy of doing? Simply by the possible trend, no one can naysay that we are too discrete to censer it before action.
In summary, by the misleading of author, it made us deem that the only way to compete with others is to open a cafe, but there is no necessary evidence or something approving that. To dig more into the recommendation, i think we should know something more information first and decide what to do is the best.
