3.11: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
It is better to spend money on traveling and vacation than to save money for the future.

In recent years, there is a heated discussion about which one should be given the precedence, to spend money on travelling and vacation to save money for the future. Some people maintain saving money for future is more rational than to use money for travelling, arguing that travelling is a waste of money. However, I believe that people should spend money on travelling, at least a part of budget, because travelling and vacation is not only seeking for fun, but also a worthy investment. The reasons are as following.

First of all, travelling and vocation is an effective way to observe the world and the society. As we all know, it is conductive for people to learn knowledge by the means of travelling. For example, in university, professors always organize students to do some field research, they maybe go the desert, to observe how the sedimentary rock form, or they go camping to a primitive forest to vividly depict some rare species . Besides, there is a tradition both in the Orient and the West, that is travelling study, it was generally known Xu Xiake, a famous geologist and writer in Ancient China, who had travelled across the whole China and finally concluded a splendid travelling biography. Thus, travelling is an effective and impressive way to read the book of nature and the book of society, with the illustration of beautiful
scenery, we definitely can have a better understanding about the world.

Secondly, travelling and vocation is the best way for
recovery.
In order to survive in the fierce
competition in modern society, every individual spare no efforts to do the job. They stay every night, drink a large amount of coffee, extenuate the exercise, even some of the workaholics achieve success at the cost of their health. However, chasing the dream does not absolutely means drive ourselves exhausted every day. Only taking a good rest, can people have more energy to perform better at work. In my opinion, travelling is a best way of that. When you ramble around a small town or bathe in the sun on a island, you don't need to think or worry, all you have to do is enjoy that moment, I believe it is extremely relaxing and refreshing! So that's why the Christmas Festival coming, all the beaches of Mediterranean Sea have been occupied, because people need high-level recovery.

Nevertheless, it should be admitted that there are some minor disadvantages about travelling and vocation, If individuals use up their salary on frequent vocation,
it is likely they will confront embarrassing situation when they really have something to investigate, such as buy a vehicle or a flat. But I think it can be successfully handled when we have proper financial
arrangement.

To sum up, travelling and vacation does benefit individuals a lot, it is both conductive and comfortable. With alarming development of people’s living quality , I bet that travelling and vacation will become more and more popular all over the world.
