今天第一次参与寄托的IBT作文互改活动, 本来还满有信心的, 写一写才发现原来命题英语作文并非易事, 加上查字典什么的总共磨蹭了超过2个小时, 字数也才勉强够300. 英语的学习是个长期的过程, 惟有坚持才能取得好成绩, 但问耕耘, 莫问收获, 先献上拙作, 静待高手出现...:):):)

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Most businesspeople are motivated only by the desire of money…

Most businesspeople are motivated only by the desire of money. Unfortunately, I disagree with this statement.
In the past, businesspeople are greedy for money, the masses have stereotype of businesspeople. There is no doubt that making money is businesspeople’s ultimate target, but as the society develops, more and more businesspeople dedicate themselves to helping others, they earn so much money, at the meanwhile, they also do a lot for the society. Because they realize that how much money they earn, how much responsibility they take for the society.
In 2008, Chinese people and government encountered Wenchuan earthquake, it’s such a disaster and tragedy, thousands of people lost their home and family, at this moment, so many local company and foreign company raised a great number of money for the Sichuan people, they also endowed a lot of camps, food, living goods. Make the victims feel warm again.
Nowadays, in current Chinese society, the unemployment rate is still keeping rising, but we are glad to see that some businesspeople are trying their best to change this social phenomenon. They provide a lot of job opportunities for the public in theirs enterprise, they also provide a lot of training course for the unemployed workers.
Let me give one more example. Mr. Wang, who is my father’s friend, he is a successful businessman, has got his own factories, his annual income is over 5,000,000 RMB, he has a lot of work to do everyday. But once he learns his stuff is ill, no matter how busy he is, he will go to visit his stuff on the second day, with his gift and bless.
Through these cases I mention above, indicate businesspeople humanity and kindness completely. More and more businesspeople realize that they are critical part in current society, they are responsible for the roles they act in current society, more than just for money.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Telephone has greater influence on people’s lives than TV.

Telephone and television, which one affects more on people’s lives? Speaking of this question, some people believe that telephone changed their daily lives a lot, some people believe that television is the greatest invention ever, each part holds differing reason. Facing such a controversial topic, from my perspective, I think that television has a stronger influence on people’s lives.

First of all, comparing with telephone, television not only spreads voice, but also transmits animated picture, it diffuses much more information to the public, even to every corner of this planet. If we say, telephone makes two people join together, television is more like an invisible bridge between an individual and the whole world then. In this modern and highly competitive society, whether a person can be successful, to a great degree, depends on how much useful information he/she has. Television brings tremendous and various information to an individual, includes news, knowledge and entertainment. Nowadays, the masses can learn immediately what is happening around themselves and the world, we can also watch a live NBA game that take place in the other side of world. Meanwhile, more and more non-native English speaker study English by watching BBC or CNN, so many people who are interested in nature and science would like to gain knowledge by watching “Discovery”. In addition, finishing with working and studying in daytime, entertainment programs that broadcast at night will bring people laughter, makes them release pressure and enjoy leisure time, and then they can get ready to fight for the challenge on next day.


Those things mentioned above can not be come true before television was invented. Such a revolutionary invention totally changed people’s lives, we can explore the unknown world by just pressing the button on the remote control. To sum up, television affects more on people’s lives than telephone does.

写得那个苦啊, 本来我想写中立论点的, 但想来想去没有论据, 跑到小组一看别人都写得差不多了, 综合了一些前辈的观点, 磨鸡出来这么一篇东拼西凑的东西,,,不过练习了总比没练习要强,,,有句老话不是说, 抄也要抄出个学问来,,,,,这是哪句老话啊.....
