放眼望去,好长啊~~~~ 服了~~
The argument is apparently well presented but not thoroughly well reasoned. There is no evidence to prove that residents concerning(concerned) with health cause(改成将来时态更好吧?) Nature's Way to make a profit. By presenting the previous experience of Nature's Way, the popularity of sport clothes and health club now, as well a s the schoolchildren program about health, the argument recommends that a new store of the chain should be built in Plainsville. Though it is relatively sound, the argument suffers several flaws in reasoning.
First, the argument depends on the questionable assumption that residents who care about health are interested in stores which sell health food and other health-related products. Obviously, other possible alternatives are not taken into account to find how residents concern about their health and who are the actural customers of those stores.
First, it is not the only and the necessary way to eat health food or use health-related products when residents prefer to lead healthy lives. In fact, they may tend to take exercise, eat and sleep regularly, get rid of smoking, and take other usual measures that need no special health-related products. And those convenient behaviors are of course more acceptable around residents.
Besides, there is no evidence indicating that the customers of Nature's Way concern with healthy life. It is probable that to use health-related products is in fashion nowadays(原文有说他们use health-products?而且你自己不是在上面已经否定了他们会use health-related products?). Hence most residents who shop in such stores just follow the trend and they might be beyond those who tend to lead healthy lives.
Despite the flaws in the assumption, the argument fails to well arrange comparisons between profits made in previous Plainsville with that in today's; accordingly, the recommendation turns out unconvincing. Years ago, health food and other health-related products were fresh and attracted(这个词没看懂) for their new ideas. Thus, residents bought such products guided by their curiosity.
Moreover, it is natural that new and strange products are always cheap at first to attract large amounts of customers. However, with such product industry developing, prices raise and residents get to know that health is not built by what products they use but by how they lead regular lives.( 这一个漏洞,我是没看懂)
Another point worth discussing is that the argument commits a fallacy of hasty generalization. The argument presents that exercise clothes are well sold now. Are exercise clothes on sale in this season? Health club, which nearly closed five years ago, has more member than ever and the classes are full. Have other similar local clubs already closed during the last five years so that residents can only choose this club and take the course? Schoolchildren who are required to participate in the 'fitness for life' program are regarded as potential customers of Nature's Way. If each student has ever exercised well and has a strong body, what do they need those health-related products for? Again, what do the stores expect if students are going to leave Plainsville when growing up? The argument can apparently not answer questions above. And either(用neither吧?) does it as to substantiate the conclusion.
On the whole, it remains an open question whether they should build the next new store in Plainsville. To better valuate the recommendation, one would need more information about the cost to build a next new store, whether health-caring residents prefer to eat health food, and how many similar stores are now in Plainsville to compete with.(末段的话,我觉得和前面少了点照应。 另外,你这个,"有多少竞争者" 为什么之前不提出来呢?我觉得也一个可以展开的点嘛)
总的来说,语言,结构上都不错,
我只是觉得在挑逻辑漏洞上,你和一般的这篇文章写的都不一样。。。。
