184"It is a grave mistake to theorize before one has data."
Is it a grave mistake to theorize without data as the speaker contends?I agree with the fact data can somewhat prove the correctness of a theory.And it is convincing to conclude a theory based on data ,which are prensentative.Meanwhile, theories can also exist without data.

Taking the whole world in view,there are certain theories  made based on the data.The first one can be the Mendel Law made by Mendel ,a biologist.He planted hundreds of pea plants and wrote down the color and the character of each.From the data,he conclude the law of heritage.
But not always the data tell the truth.For instance,The formula of the distance from the eight planets to the sun made by Titius who is a german teacher interested in the science,is : A=4+2n*3.And when n equals to zero,one two  in turns,the outcome is actual the relative diatance from the Mercury ,the Mars,and the Jupiter  to the sun.The theory seems correct and he is remembered by the public.Whereas,when the Neptune was found ,the formula came to be an coincidence.

The more theories come from the hypothesis.The theorists collect data to prove the correctness of the hypothesis.For example,in the middle ages Europe all people took it for granted that the time of objects falling down the ground based on it’s weight.Galileo made a hypothsis that the velocity has no business with the weight.He got to a tower and put down two balls with different weights and timing. The data of time substantiate the correctness of his hypothesis.
Whereas, to prove the theories,some theorist look over or avoid the data which refute to the theory and remain others can substantiate it. The data do no effect to the theory.

And in a certain realm ,the data may be not such representative.When it comes to the reaml such as social, economic and forth.We collect data by questionnair made by the random people .A group of people certainly cannot represent the whole and the theory may be an aberration or an error.
We can theorise not only on data but also on ther factors such commen sense,experience and forth..In Newton’s theory a subject can move and never stop when there is no friction.He took a certain number of  experiments to prove his theory.He failed as the friction comes with the motivation.But the theory is still a truth.
And in the realm such as art, music,there is no data for us before we theorise.The artists and the musicians make the theory just by feeling,commen sense,or even by hearing or outlooks.

In sum,it is not a grave error to theorise before data.The data do not always tell the truth ,and we can theorise on other factors such as commen sense, feelings and forth.

1从data来的theory不一定正确
2先假设再用data证明，data不一定能证明，如questionnaires，调查的人不一定representative。有些其他的因素要考虑。
3，有些领域没有data证明，如art，music等


请各位看看思路有没问题，还有文章。。。才450字，是不是太少了。。。应该在哪方面多写点？？？
