The latest survey shows that quite a few students have unpleasant associations with homework. For students, the only good homework is no homework. However, practice of newly acquired knowledge is an essential part of the process of study. Teachers understand this point and give assignments accordingly. Nevertheless, there is often too much homework for students. As an old saying goes: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Thus, whether daily homework is necessary depends on the age of students and the subjects in which the work is assigned, and teachers also have to take into account the possible counter-effect of overwork.
The age of a student, or the stage of the personal development has to be considered when deciding the amount of homework. Elementary school students, limited to in their ability to concentrate on one subject, should not be given too much homework. Instead, they need time to play and communicate with peers, through which their characters and interpersonal skills will be developed. On the other hand, for university students, homework is totally unnecessary. Moreover, universities ought to give more free time to students, and it will help students develop their interests and foster the ability to study independently. Thus, homework is helpless and might be an obstacle. (This is well written, but I don't see where the 'necessity' of 'DAILY homework' features in this paragraph. You keep talking about the amount of homework in a vaguely comparative sense - 'too much homework', 'totally unnecessary' - but is DAILY homework too much, too little, or just nice? I have no idea. Therefore I'm not able to establish any relation from the actual question to your argument.)
The importance of daily homework can vary with the subject. For instance, in the area of mathematics, the knowledge will never be acquired without a considerable amount of assignments. Because assignments allow a student to internalize vital concepts and mechanisms. (This is a fragment. 'Because' cannot lead a complete sentence on its own. You need to merge this with the previous sentence.) But, when it comes to history, it is more significant that students grasp greater concepts as well as memorize dates and places. In these subjects (What are 'these subjectS'? You were only talking about history.) homework is not only unnecessary but it might discourage students from taking interest in it. (Again, you're talking in very vague terms. How much is 'considerable'? Is 'daily homework' a 'considerable' amount, or not? There is no obvious link between your argument and the question. Instead of being firmly rooted with the actual question, your argument is more like aimlessly floating out there on its own terms.)
All in all, it must be noted that learning must be done by a person himself, and teachers should consider that too much homework will frustrate students. Consequently, the good intentions of the teacher could very well have the opposite effect and a student is likely to learn less. (What does this have to do with 'daily homework'?)
