TOPIC: ARGUMENT37 - Woven baskets characterized by a particular distinctive pattern have previously been found only in the immediate vicinity of the prehistoric village of Palea and therefore were believed to have been unique to the Palean people. Recently, however, archaeologists discovered such a "Palean" basket in Lithos, an ancient village across the Brim River from Palea. The Brim River is very deep and broad, and so the ancient Paleans could only have crossed it by boat, but there is no evidence that the Paleans had boats. And boats capable of carrying groups of people and cargo were not developed until thousands of years after the Palean people disappeared. Moreover, Paleans would have had no need to cross the river-the woods around Palea are full of nuts, berries, and small game. It follows that the so-called Palean baskets were not unique to Palea.

The topic describes the "Palean" basket found in other places far away from the ancient Paleans, under the no capablitiy to ship across the river, the Palean baskets were not sure where was its really hometown. The writer made few mistakes about the theory.

On the frist hand, although the deep and borad Brim is cut off the connection the baskets found and the Paleans, how deep and borad of the Brim in the prehistoric is the real question. The movement of the earth is existed from prehistoric to nowadays. Perhaps the Brim River was thin and shallow, maybe the Brim River was noramlly river that could swim across it, evenmore the Brim River wasn't existed in that ancient time. Anyway there was no evidence to prove the reiver, by the way maybe the Lithos was nearby Paleans at that time.

Secondly, as the article saied there's no evidence that Paleans had boats. Anything could assume it, what the Paleans transmit the full of items across the river if the river was deep and broad at that time. We can assume the flood flush the Paleans’ items to the Lithos and we could find the baskets there. And may assumes could make the baskets moved far away, what the author made the conclution with unconvincing evidence which made the mistakes about the Palean baskets.

At last, Paleans would have had many reasons to cross the reiver. Nowadays it is around by woods full of food, but at that prehistory time how did we know the enviorment of it, maybe they lived in a poor land and the Lithos had full of foods that they had to cross the river. On the other hands maybe parts of Paleans lived in Lithos. The Paleans lived in old places often met their relatives across the river and they often carried with the food only growed in the old places, years after years when the Paleans disappear who live in Lithos may occurred the same disaster the only found items was the baskets.

To sum it up, there were few assumtions about the baskets why in the Lithos, and the topic did not came into existence. We helped the writer to think about the reasons may course the things happened but all of them are needed the real evidence, however the only thing we can assure that is the baskets may come from the Palea.
