130"How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society."

The speaker has two basic points in this assertion. 1) The socialization process of the children will decide the future society. 2) People still cannot find a proper way to raise and educate their offspring. For the first part, the destiny of the society should be decided by many different factors, though children’s socialization is one of them. For the second part, in certain extent, there are many problems of education system, though it is not perfect. The speaker overstates such issue cause of great achievement has been made so far.

The development process of the society has so many different contributions from all kinds of impulses. We need admit that how we teach children to observe the world, how we instruct them to communicate with each other, how we leverage the current resources we have to help them become the fittest ones of survival, does have great impact on world’s tomorrow, because the children are the future us. Nevertheless, one of the most effective factors to fasten social development should be the innovation of the technology.The ways how these frontiers explorer the world are so special even unique that the answers of specific fields cannot be get from precedents and history, no need to account for the socialization of childhood phase. Take theoretical physic as an example, the famous equation, Energy is equal to material’s quality multiply the square of light velocity, has great contribution for atomic energy development. It’s hard to establish the connection between the discovery of the equation and children socialization.

For the second point, we are still not able to find proper ways to raise or educate children. We need concede that the education services provide by our schools and colleges indeed need further improvement, not only in specific fields such as art, music, literature and technology, but also in the course structure. Take the current high school educational system in China as an example, there are no music and art courses at all and limited physical training. When we educated the students, we should treat them as intact persons that to say they have all kinds of needs from different level as we human being. Most of the courses are about the pragmatic ones for bread winning jobs in the future; exclude literature, art, music appreciation, communication skills and other social science. By instructing in this method will apparently cause imbalance development of each individual, and then will cause many social issues. On the other hand, we also have many accomplishments so far. As internationalization is the big trend today, more and more educational organizations provide chances for international student pursuing degree courses and research projects, through which they can learn much about what they cannot obtain through domestic environment and enrich their experiences in other cultures. The kind of exchange does a good way to raise and educate children. By using such process, could make people know about each other, from distinct regions, counties and with different background, thus positive impact could be made in large scale. Therefore, people are trying all means to give children better grown up environment.
