A research showed that among 28 men and 20 women who were having their wisdom teeth extracted, women felt less pain and the easing of pain lasted considerably longer after they took the same dosage of kappa opioids, a certain painkiller. Thus they concluded that this medicine has different influence on men and women. And then they deducted the immediate use of this king of painkiller to women and some other painkillers to men. After all, the researchers believe that all above finally implies that men and women experience pain very differently. Yet the seemingly believable argument is not sound at all. Defects are showed in the argument.

In the first place, the different effects demonstrated in the experiment don't surely lead to the conclusion that all men and women reflects differently to this kind of painkiller. As we all know, dosage of medicine is a significant element in uses of medicine. Different person reacts distinctly to the same dosage of the same medicine because of certain individuality. Among those ingredients, weight is a crucial one. That is why many kinds of medicine give prominence to it that dosage should accord to weigh. Also we believes it as a common sense that men and women weigh dissimilarly in average. Averagely, men weigh more and should have more dosage to get the same effect as women do. Just then, the experiment seems less convincible. What's more, medicine affects variously to people in different ages. The reactions of elder and the younger are non-identical due to the process of getting elder, and should not be confused. If the experiment was taken on 28 younger men and 20 elder women, it cannot make sense anymore. Consequently, the experiment is vague.

Secondly, if we took the experiment as a valid one, we would still not take it for sure that this certain kind of medicine is the kind that women should take at once, and that men should only be treated by other medicine. We cannot tell which to use after comprehensive consideration. In some case, different kinds of medicine play similar parts in treatment. Nevertheless, what about side effects? Is this medicine a very harmful one to health? Others could be better? What about allergy? Should a woman still take it if she has allergy to this medicine? Shouldn't a man take it if it is the only kind of medicine he can bear? We cannot draw the mentioned deduction so surely without more cogitation.

Lastly, regardless of the flaws mentioned above, we cannot conclude firmly that men and women experience pain very differently only by the experiment. We can only find out that this medicine treats men and women respectively. We cannot tell what makes the phenomenon. Is the different experience of pain between men and women? Or, more rationally, men and women are affected differently by the medicine. The sense of pain cannot be measured in this much too simple way. If we want to know more about it, there is still way to go.

In this article, the author asserts that the way that women and men experience pain is very different. And doctors should consider the difference when treat their patients, then the author provide an experiment to illustrate the thesis he hold is correct, however, there are many points in the article that seem lack logical and unreasonable.
Firstly, in the experiment, the researcher only studies the affection of kappa opioids to women and men, but not studies other medicines, we can’t ignore the probability that the kappa opioids may has some special component have different reaction on women versus men, if so we cannot get the conclusion that women and men experience pain very differently from one another, but just can get a conclusion that the reactions of women and men on kappa opioids are different.
Then research suggests that kappa opioids should be prescribed for women whenever pain medication is required, however, in this experiment, women report feel less pain is not equal to do not feel pain, so the research’s suggestion is unreasonable.
Meanwhile the researcher also points out that men should be given other kinds of pain medication but he did not give any evidence to prove that any other medication is more efficient than kappa opioids. So the suggestion of the researcher is lack convincible.

What’s more, the patients the researcher studied are only 28 men and 20 women; the number is too little to make the study convinced. For when the number of studied patients is too little, the result of the study may have more possibility to be influenced by other factors such as the patients’ healthy condition, the patient’s age, the patient’s endurance of pain and so on.
In conclusion, the author fails to provide convincible evidence and illustration to support his theory. The reason he used to support his theory seems week.

1kappa opioids cause less pain and easing of pain lastes larger on women than men, when they are extracted teeth.
2kappa opiods-----perfect for women whenever pain medication is required.
3men should be given other kinds, and reevaluate all medications.
This argument bears several obvious logical flaws. The arguer concludes that women should be prescribed kappa opioids whenever pain medication is required and the effects of all medication on men versus women are suggested to revaluate, merely based on a vague and narrow research.
First of all, the research provided by the arguer is not convincing. 28 men and 20 women constitute a too small sample to represent the billions of men and women of the whole world in reality. Also, little accuracy attaches to the results, we are not informed to what degree the women felt less pain than the men and how on earth considerably longer the easing of pain lasted in women. If 20 minutes or half an hour sorts like that are regarded as considerably longer easing period, the research itself, as presumption of reasoning, should be questioned.
Secondly, assuming the research above is kind of plausible and women did feel less painful and longer easing when they had taken kappa opioids during wisdom teeth extracting, the argument cannot guarantee that doctors should prescribe for women whenever pain medication is required. According to common sense, different diseases should be carefully diagnosed and applied different treatments. If women are leg broken or muscle strained, they cannot just simply take some kappa opioids, which though are effective in teeth extracting, the best is they get recovered as natural as without any painkillers, the worst they might get poisoned and lost lives. Therefore, it is quite irresponsible to suggest women be prescribed kappa opioids every time they need pain medication.
Moreover, there are some possibilities that kappa opioids is applicable and effective on men. This painkiller might be useful on men in other treatments such as headache, muscle strained, for only teeth extraction is covered in previous research. What research should be conducted probably examine the effect and efficiency of kappa opioids on men in other situations. Also, there are hardly necessities that researchers should reevaluate the effects of all medications on men versus women. Because most of the effects of medications are proved and generally accepted by medical field, reevaluation of all medications on men versus women will undoubtedly increase workload of scientists as well as destroy the entire medicine knowledge structure. For example, Aspirin is normal pills for headache both on women and men, overcautious researches can only be explained as redundant.

In this article[不太适合吧..], the author asserts that the way that women and men experience pain is very different[讲得不是体验方法不同,而是效果不同,注意准确]. And doctors should consider the difference when treat their patients, then the author provide an experiment to illustrate the thesis he hold is correct, however, there are many points in the article that seem lack logical[?
Firstly, in the experiment, the researcher only studies the affection of kappa opioids to women and men, but[这个but用得别扭,因为前后并没有转折] not studies other medicines, we can’t ignore the probability that the kappa opioids may has some special component [which]have different reaction on women versus[?] men, if so we cannot get the conclusion that women and men experience pain very differently from one another, but just can get a conclusion that the reactions of women and men on kappa opioids are different.
Then research[?resercher] suggests that kappa opioids should be prescribed for women whenever pain medication is required, however, in this experiment, women report feel less pain is not equal to do not feel pain, so the research’s suggestion is unreasonable.
Meanwhile the researcher also points out that men should be given other kinds of pain medication but he did not give any evidence to prove that any other medication is more efficient than kappa opioids. So the suggestion of the researcher is lack convincible.[同上,找得论据并不能说明你想论证的。
What’s more, the patients the researcher studied are only 28 men and 20 women; the number is too little[small搭配不当] to make the study convinced[convincing]. For[prep.不能用作conj] when the number of studied patients is too little, the result of the study may have more possibility to be influenced by other factors such as [the] patients’ healthy condition, [the] patient’s age, [the] patient’s endurance of pain and so on.[注意冠词用法。 There are possibilities that the results of the study come out from other factors, such as patients’ healthy condition, patient’s age, patient’s endurance of pain or sorts of things]
In conclusion, the author fails to provide convincible evidence and illustration to support his theory. The reason he used to support his theory seems week.

In this report, the reporter claims that men and women experience pain differently from one another. To support the conclusion, the reporter cites a research about the different efficiency of kappa opioids-a painkiller- to men and women. Therefore, the reporter asserts that kappa opioids should be prescribed for women instead of to men. However, the assertion is absurd because it bases on a research which lacks of(不要of) evidence and has a series of unjustifiable assumptions. Therefore, the conclusion is not able to be accepted.
First, the result of the mentioned research cannot persuade me to accept the conclusion that men and women experience pain differently because the research lacks of convincing evidence. Even though we have known that these people who participated in this research were having their wisdom teeth extracted, nevertheless, the research did not show enough information of these people - such as ages, physical conditions - which would influence on the degree of pain people experienced. Moreover, we cannot assert that kappa opioids are more efficient to women than to men only bases on the women’s reports. Perhaps these women who reported that they fell less pain were not sensitive to pain. In addition, pain is an abstract feeling which is not easily to be described so that maybe the degree of pain these women and men described was not in(at) the same standard. To sum up, the research is neither logical nor justifiable. Therefore, we cannot accept the conclusion.(这段逻辑挺清晰,论证的不错)
Second, even if it is actually that men and women experience pain differently from one (to) another, it is not necessary to decide(这句觉得很绕口) that kappa opioids should be prescribed to women instead of to men. Although kappa opioids are less efficient to men than to women, maybe the effect of other kinds of painkillers is worse than kappa opioids to men. In fact, the experiment lacked of enough detail. Perhaps kappa opioids relieved the pain of women who took part in the experiment while(by) making deep byproduct. Without the proof that kappa opioid is better indeed for women and it does not work well for men, we cannot be persuaded to accept that it should be priority for women.
Last, reevaluating the effects of all medications on men versus women is unnecessary. It is a big project which needs a large budget so that we cannot decide to do that only because a report of efficient of painkiller.
In summary, the conclusion cannot be accepted. Neither the result of experiment about different feeling to pain of men and women nor the conclusion that kappa opioids should be prescribed to women instead of to men can be justifiable. In order to persuade us, the researchers should give more information about the details of the experiment. The research needs to be continued.
