t is asserted that there are some things more important than improving schools to succeed in development of country such as establishing public facilities. However, the quality of schools presents the level of education and the status of technology, both of which are indisputably important to a country's development. In this essay, the importance of these two factors are discussed to support the statement of taking improving schools as the most critical factor in developing a country.$ R. K/ ^/ c: H
It is argued that the development of a country is indeed the development of economy, and stimulating the growth of economy is more valuable then(than) improving schools. In the end, the competition between countries is the competition of economic strength. Thus, economy should always be the essential of governments’ development plan. However, education is already widely acknowledges as the basis of economical prosperity. Taking the revival of Germany and Japan as example, the only things of the World War II left to the people of these two countries are grief and poverty. Curiously, not industry, it is education system that both of these two nation chose as the first thing to rebuild. There are lots of stories about how the Germans of Japanese taught their children in the remains after the war. In fact, even at the hardest time, education budgets of these two countries had never been less than 4 percent of their GDP. Amazingly, these two countries made their way back to the group of the richest countries in less than 30 years. Taking a look at the history of human being, there are countless examples alike. Thus, historical experiences show that the development of education should never be underestimated.

More over, some people take military improvement more precedent than education, because the strength of a nation heavily depends on its military power. However, their argument underestimated the power of technologies and education in military. In fact, ever since the end of World War II, the key to the success of wars is neither the number of solders nor the number of fleets but the scientific strength of the military force and the education status of the soldiers. Take the most powerful military force, the US army, as example, in the past 30 years, American army had never stopped the process of replacing normal weapons with high-tech ones. In the wars they had taken during these years, the effectiveness and powerfulness of high-tech weapons astonished the world. The advantage on technology helps this army unbeatable in the(the可不可以去掉?) wars. Meanwhile, the only obstacle now facing this force is the education level of their soldiers can not meet the requirements of these new weapons. The need of higher educated soldiers is increasing year by year because of the improvement of weapons. Thus, technologies and education are already the foundation of modern military strength. Of cause, more concern should be taken on the seedbed of their development -- schools.6 v) \1 i# Z! Y+ b
In conclusion, the elevation of educational quality and technological advantages come after the improving of schools are matchless power of a country. China should also put more funds on schools. In the near future, along with the growth of schools, soon will comes the prosperity of economy and strengthen of military force.
