However, after careful consideration I found that this argument suffers from critical flaws and is therefore unconvincing.

First, the fact that Adams has 40 agents while Fitch has 25, many of whom work only part-time suggests that Adams might do more work than Fitch, but perhaps Fitch’s agents are more efficient and capable that they do twice as much as what Adams’ agents do under the same circumstances. The proponent tries to indicate Adams sells homes faster by taking himself as an example, but he fails as ten years ago the estate market may not be as prosper as it was last year. Or perhaps the proponent’s home ten years ago listed with Fitch was worse than the one last year listed with Adams.

Secondly, even if the estate market of ten years ago was as good as it was last year and the two homes of the proponent were the same, there is still no evidence showing that you can have your home sold faster if you choose Adams. Thirdly, the proponent fails to indicate when the numbers of agents of the two estate firms came out. What if it was a data belongs to more than ten years ago? Perhaps now Fitch already has more agents than Adams. The proponent also does not provide more details about homes listed with the two estate firms. It is likely that homes listed with Adams are much larger than Fitch’s. Or the locations of homes listed with Adams are better. Or homes listed with Adams are well decorated and equipped. Considering these above, Adams’ $168,000 seems not to be a higher price than Fitch’s $144,000.

In sum, this is a weak argument. To strengthen it, the author must provide evidence that now Adams has more agents and do more work than Fitch.
