第一次写完整的文章，之前看了很多材料，今天写的时候才发现看跟写的感觉是完全不一样的。。。
做足了准备，写了三个多小时，才勉强上500字，，，
写的很烂很幼稚，但还是希望听听大家的意见，

153. "Students should bring a certain skepticism to whatever they study. They should question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively."


Nowadays, in many colleges and universities all over the world, the marks of examinations seem to be the most important, if not the only assessment of a student's ability. The students who can recite whatever they are taught, or study from the books, are thought to be the "good students". However, it is of great important for a student to thinking independently, question the knowledge they are taught, and bring a certain skeptism to whatever they study.

To begin with, it is more important than skeptism itself for students that they should learn to grasp the method of thinking independently through considering some questions more deeply. Firstly, the skeptism can broaden our ken and enrich our knowledge, when we have some questions about one idea of a specific knowledge, we will try to find out some other information on this scientical field. Thus we may find many different opinions on the knowledge we searched, and usually we can know more aspects of the topic establish a deeper thinking of this field, and our ken are broaden. Secondly, the skeptism can sharpen our mind, if we know the very nature of skeptism, we will learn the way of critical thinking, which is helpful in our daily life, especially when we are making some important decisions or we are in face of some big problems.

The skeptism is a vital ability to discover the value of an idea, and to make an approach to the truth. Every idea inevitably has flaws, it is important for us to know that we should not defending our ideas blindly, sometimes it is even dangerous to do so because we might ignore the errors of the idea, and these errors may be lethal. The things we are taught in the school might also be sometimes fallacious, or, not perfect. If a student just accepting them passively without thinking them over in his mind, to some extent, he has not learned anything at all. The purpose(/destination?) of education can never be the marks of examinations, correct answers, or even knowledge itself, it should be the way of learning and independent thinking which can help the student adjust better to the society and the changing environment in his life.

In addition, a student will not always be a student, he may grow up to be a scholar, a lawyer, a manager, or maybe a president. In almost all the working positions, the ability of skeptism is important. For example, if a president never bring a skeptism to what information he get(?), or he never suspect his ideas, the decision he made and the policy of the country will be no doubt terrible.

Though the skeptism is very important, we should not be extremist anyway. It is not necessary to be too radical in any field of study. In conclusion, the students should learn to put a skeptism on what they studied, form a habit of independent learning, and establish(?) a mind of critical thinking. Only through this way the students can be helpful to the progress of the society in the future, thus we access the aim of education.
