afford for monthly payments, 所以选E for which。至于can 与 could 的时态问题，一般不与之发生直接冲突，能用其他方法排除最好。

7.根据原题句子结构，分析得出划线部分应与the high cost of loan, the pressure of housing and commercial development并列，所以排除 A B C。E中as的用法错误，代词it的指代不清。

12、副词much进行比较的时候，as much as可加程度副词以修饰——如even as much as或as much as even， 而D选项多了一个that。所以选A，这里even=fully，表程度。
    so...as 用于否定形式中，所以排除BCE。
    even做adj, adv, v, 和数学专用名词共30余中用法，再加上合成词组如even-aged, even-handed, even-minded等40余个，找个时间汇总一下。我觉得GMAT中阅读部分中，很多难句之所以难懂，是因为此类小词（as, so, even, while等）词义和位置的变换。
