There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws."

According to this statement, each person has the responsibility to obey the just laws and disobey the unjust laws. In my view, this statement is too extreme, in two respects. Firstly, it is wrong that definite any law either just or unjust. Secondly, disobey the unjust laws is not always the right thing in some certain conditions.

First, whether a law is just or unjust is rarely a straightforward issue. The fairness of any law is depend on the value system of oneself. This is the truth when it comes to the freedom of everyone. For example, the controversial issue of mercy killing. Some think that mercy killing is the peaceful of ending one’s life to avoid suffer too much pains, and it is just when the patients and their families agree to this special treatment. However, some others can not accept this decision for the unjust of the responsible for the human lives. Especially in some religion views, mercy killing just as the same as the murder and suicide which cannot be forgiven. In the other hand the fairness of the law is also depends on the one person’s interest. For example, the role which is decided is never satisfied by all employees in one company and that is the same condition in the society in the field of law. In short, the fairness of law is a subject, which is develop with the endless argue. It depend on the person’s value system and the interest.

The second fundamental is should one disobey the unjust laws ? some one would say , yes. And then , I will ask one question what will do when the manager ask one soldier A go to battle to dely the enemy to catch or kill the other soldiers. if the soldiers will saved while soldier A will de killed, should the A disobey the laws? The definition of unjust laws is based on the opposite affect of what was intended or hoped for. The law that every has the right to disobey the laws that definited by oneself is the most unjust law in the world.

However, in reality, the law is adaptable and fixable in any situation, places and times. Although that the rule of laws must be fixed and should be seldom changed, we have the responsibility to make the law approach to the perfect and just for as many people as possible. The people should obey the laws and judge the person who breaks the laws.

In sum, the two types of laws, just or unjust, shouldn’t be judged by one’s value system and interest. what we should do is to make the balance between the obey the laws and doubt the just or unjust of the laws , just like as the hormionious society and advanced the system of the laws.
