提纲:
1.
1.
Skepticism, especially to the classic theory what have been accepted by people for a long time, plays an important role in great scientific discoveries.
2.
Even if a student’s skepticism cannot lead any new find, it also contributes that he or her entirely understands about the issue and promote his or her research capacity.
3.
However, positive skepticism must base on the sufficient knowledge and carefully analysis, otherwise it only makes one not learn anything from others.

The speaker asserts that student should bring certain skepticism to whatever they study. In general, I agree with that skepticism plays an important role in academic development. It not only contributes to a lot of scientific innovations and but also is beneficial to develop one's research capacity. However, we should not view this issue from an extreme stand. Excessive skepticism should not be advocated for the reason that it brings harms to education.
To begin with, skepticism, especially to the classic theories which have been held by people for a long time, plays an important role in many scientific breakthroughs. We need not to take further example than Einstein, who was a curious boy in his childhood, and kept asking why about everything. It was due to his skepticism to the Newton's motion theory that he found the relative theory which makes him one of the greatest physicians in the 20st century. Another example is Galileo, he was the first one skeptic about the Aristotle's claim that the more massive objects fall faster than less massive objects over 2,000 years. He made a demonstration about the issue and found the fall free principle. Even Aristotle himself also advocated critical thinking. Just as his famous phrase “I love my teacher, but love truth better", if people have never been skeptic about the previous theories, they would not be able to beyond them and make progress in academic.
What's more, even skepticism cannot lead one make new discovery, it also bring more benefits to entirely understand the issue and
promote one's research capacity than accepting knowledge passively without carefully thinking about it. A student begins to be skeptic about something his or her teacher taught, he or her will carefully survey the problem. In order to proof his or her idea is true, he or she will take some measures such as searching more information about it , taking some experiments and so on. Even at the end, the thing that he or she learned turns out to be true. The process also trains his or her research capacity and thinking independently. He or she will get a more profound understand about the issue than students who accept it passively. A good example is that in most textbook about nature science, before a chapter there are questions about a phenomenon requring student to think about them. If students have never thought about them but just accepted the results or conclusions, they would learn little from the course.
However, we must realize that positive skepticism should base on sufficient relate knowledge and careful analysis, otherwise it will make one not learn anything from others. For one thing, the young kids and beginners, lack of judgment to distinguish right and wrong, what they need to do are just accumulating much basic knowledge. For another, students should trust their teachers. When he or she is skeptical about something, it is necessary to take some careful analysis. Without careful analysis, the skepticism is just wasting his or her time. What teachers tell them may not be perfect but still have some merits. If one ignores that, he or she cannot learn anything from his or her teachers.
To sum up, students taking skepticism to whatever they study should be advocated. But the before to be skeptic about a claim, one needs to study the knowledge related to the claim and make careful analysis about it. Only in this way, one can learn more things from his or her skepticism.
