Although itwill cost much more efforts to design education according to each student` scharacteristics, I strongly approve the speaker that education will trulyeffective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual student`s needs and interests. After all, every human being is unique, with differenttalents and experience that bring about one a distinctive life.

Necessarilythrough tailoring suitable pedagogy to fulfill each student` s needs, caneducation really achieve its goals which is facilitating students to completelyexplore their potential and thus have a meaningful life they want. Hence, smallclass is necessitated. It is common sense that small class teaching isprevailing all over the world for its respect to each student. To illustrate mypoint, here is a specific example from the academic field. There is aphenomenon that the higher academic degree is, such as PhD, the smaller theclass will be. It is self-evident that small class education is most effectivedue to the possibility of sparing more concentration on each learner` srequirement.

To trulymake education successful also calls for teachers appealing to learner` sinterests. There is a saying that interest is the best teacher. Professorsoften place much concern on student` s research interest because interest canalways inspire one` s insight and encourage one to overcome the difficultyencountered on the way of pursuing the truth. In contrast, the inactivity ofthe student is caused by pre-determined set of knowledge and skills withoutfully considering the student` interests. The student` s curiosity which is anessential factor for creative thinking is reduced. Thus, the education becomesfruitless.

Needs andinterests both derive from one` s experiences. As the great educator John Deweyonce said, “inorder for education to be most effective, content must be presented in a waythat allows the student to relate the information to prior experiences, thusdeepening the connection with this new knowledge.” Thus, to assist a student toattain new skills and knowledge , educators are obliged to be acquainted with the student` s previousinformation, such as expertise, hobbies, life experiences and so on .

Under the premise that education is designed according toeach student` s needs and interests, providing a high-quality campusenvironment can also contribute to its efficiency, such as first-class library,stadium, laboratory, concert hall, and what is more important is excellentteachers.

In conclusion, I advocate that a successful education mustbe the one pays thoroughly attention to each learner` s interests and needs.Otherwise, therealization of student’s full potential and the ability to use it for thegreater good, which is the aim of education, could never be reached.
