In the era technologies being the first prolificacy, it brings great transform to the whole society and daily life for everyone. With ever new and faster development of technologies, enormous influence for countries’ politics, economics, military affairs or culture has produced profoundly. However, we cannot estimate its historic significance as decisive effect for social customs and ethics radically.

It is no doubtable holding a sophisticated level of high and new technology industries would make the country higher competition position al over the world. As we know, countries’ comprehensive national strength competition standard has been broadened and promoted which they focus on the economic strength, national defense capability and national cohesion. Under such circumstances, one country needs technology to improve national strength with social customs and ethics affected. Modernization and technology advancement endow social customs and ethics characteristics of the times. Such as exist-polygamy in the Orient, in modern social system and laws, the custom has gone as a record in history which at present is definitely illegal. As well as, some national customs with special characters, for example, sacrifice without being inherited widely, but learned as a fete to commemorate ancestor, because we learn science technology which make us think in a scientific mind and justify everything in terms of science. As for ethics, it is the product of time and society which would be exerted an imperceptible influence based on people’s needs and practical lives. So as the technologies develop, ethical standard would change to adapt the people and the times demand.

However, it does not mean technology determine social customs and ethics. Social customs have formed from ancient and last to modern times ceaselessly. Take a wide view the development history of the human society, each nation is in endless history develop process develop its various social customs which belongs to products of different periods. No matter how advanced science technology develops, many tried–and-true social customs and ethics would preserve its new sense consistently. Thus, technologies are not the fatal factor for social customs and ethics. Technology serves as inducement or catalyst of social development and modernization, and it significance can be appraised but not decisive effect from macroscopic perspective.

In addition, technology is a rational existence, while the social customs and ethics are composed with more sensitivity, so if people get to the bottom of it, there are many other perceptual reasons leading to social customs and ethics change, such as cultural progress and spread widely, and the main ideology of the society and so on. Technology can bring us convenience on daily lives and rational visual angle and thought but enrich people’s emotional heart that only can be fulfilled by humanities knowledge and life experiences. It is not everything.

In conclusion, technology would influence our social customs and ethics when it plays a significant and profound role on comprehensive national strength and world development. Its glorious shine covers everywhere throughout the world, nevertheless, it is still not the decisive factor of social customs and ethics transform.
