the persistence of certain principles and objectives indeed is a dismissable characteristic of leaders, especially when the leader is somehow dramastic. However,the conclusion that this quality is the most essential is rather hasty.when the conflicts arouse, it is better for the leader to explain his deed to the public rather than just take the blame silently.
leaders, elected from the ground, are always more insightful and judgeable than ordinary people.in front of complex situation, the position they stand on and their ability enable them to make better decisions,which can sometimes goes far beyond the public's understanding. to illustate this we can take the tax as an example.when the government decide to collect the tax, they always face great stagnance, for the public just can not see the long-term benefit a greater economy can bring to them,but the fact that they are undoubtfully losing money. if not conpelled to, most people would rather buy some great stuff rather than pay for the tax. if the leaders easily followed people's will, what they are actually doing can be disobeyance of the trend of history. to be a great leader, implement is no less important than judgement.
however,while perserverence is important for a great leader, it can alse be an evil leader's adversary. one need to see no more than the example of hitele.to fulfil his own ambition, hitele ignored the voice of peace, and promote the war till his death. if judged by perserverence,Hitele is a perfect leader. his igonorance of public can be the cause of autogracy.
from what have been disscussed above, we can arrive at the conclusion that compared to the persistence of certain principles and objectives, winning the public's understanding and support can be more suitable for the role of leader.
