"Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

Everyone with common sense will not deny the importance of education, and the quality of education not only determines the development of the students, but also the improvement and prosperity of the society. In my opinion, I strongly agree with the author’s opinion that students should get diverse education which depends on their individual interests of each student because each student is different and has its own characters.

First, each person has different love and interest, on which their education should be base. there is a saying "interest is the best teacher”, which strongly illustrate that how important the interest is in a students study. It is interest that gives you inspiration, endows you the courage and power to crack the hardness and eventually leads you to the success. if a person has not a little interest in a subject, then he or her will much easier to give up when he or her encounters the complex than the one who has. I have such feeling that it is much easy to understand what you like even though others thought not, and on the contrary, you can never know what the arguer want to tell you without the inspiration to what you see. it will not go too far to see that the interest plays a vital role in one's learning process.

Secondly, we need all kind of persons in our more and more technological society with rapid pace and insecurity of workplace. a society's prosperity needs varity of development in many aspects such as physics ,chemistry ,poems, history literature, mathematics, geology and so on. Francis Bacon, the British philosopher had said that :"histories make man wise, poems witty, the mathematics subtle, nature philosophy deep ,logic and rhetoric able to contend." it is the same to a society as to a person for the society cosmists of individuals. For example, if the education is designed requiring the same standard to each one ,the students in the system are all the same in some extent, who know nearly every thing ,but who can't tell something deeper in each realm: who may know the greenhouse effect, but don't know what process the effect
takes and how does it cause; who may know the SARS is very popular in some countries and it has large harm to people ,but don't even know what is SARS and why it is harmful to people; who may know that Beethoven is a very famous musician but don't know how to appreciate the works, the society will be a single-color world, which is dull and boring and lacking activities. Thus, the world will eventually become banal and boggle doom in the society full of banality and resembled.

In sum, we, along with the society, should pay more attention on the individual needs and interests of each student, instead of a tremendous amount of knowledge without any emphasis. Although it will encounter much difficulty, and take tremendous manpower and resource to exert it. But it is necessary and meaningful to put into effect for the development of our society, as well as our students themselves.

我认为首先需要回到怎么评价教育是否有效 预期达到什么效果
否则仅从兴趣重要和社会需要多样化人才讲 感觉断链了
