Younger school children (ages five to ten) should be required to study art and music in addition to math, science, history and language. The authorities at the kindergarten must make very important decision regarding what will be considered to be required for the younger children. Some people hold the view that younger children should be required to learn art and music because art and music play a very significant role in younger kids' education. On the other hand, others argue that math, science, history and language are also indispensable parts of this required curriculum. As far as I am concerned, both of them have strong points for young children.
Studying art and music can make children more diverse and thoughtful. When one studies art and music, one is exposed to many different culture and points of view. It allows the children to perceive the world through a different set of eye. It is also an excellent way for younger children to spark interests in other culture and diverse ways of life. This promotes understanding and tolerance of others. Furthermore, viewing art and listening to music are excellent ways to relax. Younger children can definitely benefit from art and music.
On the contrary, math and science which are consist of kids' education are also vastly important to younger children who are the future of the country. By learning math and science, younger children can not only be smart, but also explore the curiosity of the colourful world. More importantly, math and science may possibly have influence on their daily life, such as how to count numbers, making a plan in an effective way.
In conclusion, it is very necessary for younger children to learn about art and music, as well as math and science other subjects. Of course, we can give the choice to the children who can choose the subjects they are interested in. Only by this can younger children master as well and fast as the can.
