Doyou agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents should allowchildren to make their own choices rather than determine their children’sfuture for them.

I agree the point that parents should not substitutetheir children to make decisions. However, it is necessary parents participatein making decision, because of children’s lack of experience. It’s notadvisable for them to decide their kids’ tomorrow instead of childrenthemselves.
If a child hasn’t made adetermination himself/herself, he or she will probably feel lost in their ownlife.

Actually, it is children’s own decisionsthat make them the host of their whole life. By fathom gains and losses, theycan figure out what is the salient thing in that moment. Young children may notaware enough of their responsibilities in their own decisions. They let theirparents complete all the things, taking it granted. It’s crucial to make themrecognize it is they that shoulder the responsibility for whatever decisionswhoever makes. For example, extremely, if parentssay that their child has to enter a regular school, while art is appealing tothe child. Moreover, the kid has the very talent, but their parents make lightof it and push the kid to get a good result in the school. We can imagine thereare several possibilities: for instance, first, the kid do a good job, but noone including himself/herself will know he/she could have been a famous pianist; second, the kid cannot be more common. No matter what result is, the kid hasto live his/her life himself/herself, nobody can stand for him/her.

On the other hand, it is common thatparents who love to make decisions for their children didn’t realize theirdream, and then they put the hope on their offspring. This behavior is worthblame, even though parents may be unconscious. How can they say it’s good fortheir children, thinking of their own dreams which didn’t come true. Children’slife are not second life to parents . It’s unfair to deprive children of theiropportunities to live their own life and grow real men.

I cannot but admit that parents playsalient parts in children’s life. Parent can give kids crucial advice which canensure kids make the right decision. But to pay more attention to their concernabout their children’s future is indispensible. I believe it is better forparents to ask themselves some questions: am I really doing it for my childrensake not mine?

independently writing: 是telephone 还是television对人类的有more effects

For centuries, people have been living a toneless life, with few entertainments. Also, in the past, people could not imagine talking to a person from thousands of miles was possible. Today, this two situations chance quite a lot: Television give us unthinkable amusement; phone enable us to chat to people in the distance. It’s difficult to figure out whether televisions’ impact on human being outweighs telephones’, or vice versa. They have distinct influence in different ways.

There is a common scene: a couch potato is enjoying watching TV, eating potato chips, with laugh once in a whine. We have to admit that TVs provide us novel entertainment form, soap opera, TV news, documentary, etc. Many TV programs are terribly attractive to people, that’s why a couch potato emerging. Sometimes, people watch TV instead of hanging out in pub with their friends. In this sense, TVs offer an option for fun. On the other hand, people get information from news with a lot of recent pictures or videos in TV. It broadens people’s view. In the past, if one wanted to know what happened in another country, it would be rather difficult. But, now, it’s nothing all the fuss is about.

When referring to telephones, an interesting experiment occurs to me. In my childhood, I had ever talked to a friend who was in another room, using two empty tank connected with a plastic line. My teacher told me there was a link between this experiment and the invention of telephone, which may be incorrect. I do believe phone’s function is similar to this. Let people get down to business in several minutes in the phone, which enhance the efficiency. Moreover, letter used to be the most prevalent way to connect with family member, college mates. But writing letters is kind of obsolete, because of its time-consuming process. Even though, in today’s life, letters have the opportunities to be lost. It will totally frustrate people. Compared to the TV, people have interaction with people in the phone. However, we cannot communicate with the people in the TV in many cases, and we normally do not have to.

Therefore, TVs and telephone both have a significant effect in human life, but in diverse ways, which render it hard to compare.
