As soonas I saw the notice that a large shopping center might bebuilt in my neighborhood, I was excited because there would be manyadvantages which could greatly benefit my community and the residents.

Firstly,with the establishment of a new large shopping center, it will be moreconvenient for residents to do shopping. In the past, there wasno shopping center nearby. Therefore, lots of people, including my mother, haveto take an around 20-minute bus ride to get to a supermarketto shop. What’s more worse, I have to take my meals to school occasionally; then my mother has to get up at 6 o'clock and take bus to get to that supermarket to buy groceries. However, ifthere is a large shopping center built in my community, my mother no longer hasto get up early and other residents can save a lot of time doing daily shopping.In addition, with the development of the shoppingcenter, there will be more large buildings or stores built nearby, such as bookstores, gyms and movie theatres.These buildings
can cooperate together and share thecommon benefits, because people who go to the shopping center will go to otherstores nearby for fun. By then, we will havemore colorful activities in the spare time.

Secondly, in order to attract more people, the environment around the shoppingcenter has to be improved as well. Firstly, the parking lot has to be expanded toenable people who come to shop here to park their cars. The expanded parkinglot will benefit the residents as well because the old parking lot hasinsufficient space. In addition, more staffs will be employed to clean aroundto provide a comfortable shopping environment. Then we don’t need to toleratethe smelly rubbish bins, litters and dirty water everyday. What’s more, thecommunity will be livelier due to the large amount of people attracted by theshopping center. More people will get to know our community and nearby regions;it is possible that there may be someone investing money to the development ofour community.

Lastly, the prosperityof the shopping center can offer lots of jobs, which will deal with the severeproblem that lots of graduates cannot have stable jobs thus staying in homeeveryday and using parents’ money now. Therefore, the jobs will not only helpthose teenagers, but also comfort their parents. In addition, working near thehome will not make their parents worry too much about their children’s safety.

To sum up, I always feelbored living in the community. Hence, I support to build the large hoppingcenter in my neighborhood, because it will make our life more convenient, colorfuland comfortable.
