Governments should pay more attention to health-care issues than environmental issues.

Depending on personal experience, personality trait and emotional concern, some people hold the view that compared with health-care issues, it is more emergency for governments to take immediate and powerful actions to deal with increasing environmental problems such as water pollutions, extinctions of rare animals and greenhouse problem; meanwhile others consider the idea that health-care issues are more important than environmental issues in somehow more preferable. As far as I am concerned, I strongly agree with the first opinion for the following reasons.

First and foremost, environmental problems are becoming increasingly serious around the world in the past decades with the development of modern industries. Fore example, more and more industrial sewage is directly discharged into rivers without any treatment in some developing countries. For example the water pollutions are so wild spread in some north cities in China that you could hardly find clean rivers suitable for swimming there. Also, the latest survey conducted by London environmental scientists indicates that animals living in remote polar region are victims of the greenhouse effect. It becomes growing hard for penguin to find suitable habitat as the glaciers start to melt as a result of the global temperature increase. In short, the environmental problem is so common that governments could not ignore. Otherwise we will pay a heavy price that every human being could not afford in the near future.
Another reason can be see by every person is that some diseases are definitely linked with environmental problems. In other words, severe diseases such as various kinds of cancer,
respiratory diseases, and heart diseases could be under control if environmental pollutions are eradicated. As a proverb says, prevention is better than cure. Instead of investing a large amount of public resources in struggling against these diseases, it is a wiser choice for government to pay more attention to solve environmental issues.
Last but not least, it is only the governments that have the ability to deal with environmental issues. Individuals or companies do not have sufficient resources such as high technology equipments, skilled scientists and money to solve the problems of environment. So no one else except governments could afford the heavy costs of dealing with environmental issues. When it comes to personal health, individuals could pay for the bills for medical care. There are also numerous medical companies to invent more kinds of medicines to satisfy the needs of patients.


From what have been discussed above, we could safely draw that conclusion that governments should pay more attention to environmental issues than health-care issues.

Do you prefer to take a low-paid but secure job or a job with a high salary but easy to lose?　

Depending on personality trait, emotional concern and personal background, some people hold the view that it is a congenial choice to take a low-paid job which is rather stable; meanwhile others consider the idea that a high salary is the primary goal when taking a job in somehow more preferable. As far as I am concerned, I am in favor of the favor of the first opinion as follow.

First and foremost, by doing a low-paid job, I could find more spare time to develop personal interests. Compared with a high salary job, taking a secure job with a relatively low salary, I do not need to devote all you time and energy available on solving job related problems. Accordingly, I could be able to enjoy a relax life. For example, I could play piano with my best friends. Also, I could be able to find time to read novels of my favorite writer, Yu hua. All of these contribute to my full development. Isn’t it true that spending more time on developing personal interests is of more importance than pursing more money?

Another reason is known to every person is that doing a high salary job, people usually suffer great stress which definitely poses negative effects on one’s body fitness. People with an unstable job tend to be bad tempered. He/she needs to take every detail into account to impress his/her boss to secure their jobs. In such case, hardly the worker could be able to relax themselves. As a result, they could not be in good spirits. Moreover, according a latest survey conducted by Beijing University, a fact has been revealed that the average life span of people with a stressful work is five years less compared with those who take an easy job.

Admittedly, there is no denying the fact that by doing a high-paid job, people could live a wealthy life. They could afford expensive cars, live in bigger houses or travel to foreign countries for holiday. However, as for me, the disadvantages of taking an unstable job overweight its disadvantages.

From discussions above, I prefer a stable job with low salary than a job that could promise you lots of money but rather easy to lose.
