SInce anyone who supports the new tax plan has no chance of being elected, and anyone who truly understands ecnomics would not support the tax plan, only someone who truly understands economics would have any chance of being elected.

The reasoning in the argument in flawed because the argument ignores the possibility that some people who

A. truly understand economics do not support the tax plan
B. truly understand economics have no chance of being elected
C. do not support the tax plan have no chance of being elected
D. do not support the tax plan do not truly understand economics
E. have no chance of being elected do not truly understand economics.

结论：
only someone who truly understands economics would have any chance of being elected.
逻辑结构：
elected------》 understands economics
-------------------------------------------------------
anyone who supports the new tax plan has no chance of being elected
逻辑结构：
supports the new tax plan------------》非elected
即：
elected---------》非supports the new tax plan
-------------------------------------------------------------------
由 elected，只能推出 ”非supports the new tax plan“（do not support the tax plan）。
由 elected，不能推出是否 truly understand economics。
---------------------------------------------------------------------
所以，ignores the possibility that some people who do not support the tax plan do not truly understand economics。

Premise:
Since anyone who supports the new tax plan has no chance of being elected,
support --> ~elected ---1
and anyone who truly understands ecnomics would not support the tax plan,
understand--> ~support ---2

Conclusion:
only someone who truly understands economics would have any chance of being elected.
elected--> understand
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
we cannnot deduct conclusion according to the premises unless the 2nd one is changed to (D) (~support--> ~understand = understand--> support)
